Pretty sure there was only 1 penalty for incorrect play the ball tonight.
The ruck is still a major problem even with all the penalties, they could of blown more. Players getting tangled up and gang tackles is a Melbourne tactic which is finally being cracked down on.

Hopefully they also crack down on players protecting the fullbacks and wingers when they catch bombs by blatantly obstructing kick chasers. The amount of times centres go out of their way to obstruct kick chasers was and is a massive blight on the game.

It was particularly bad in Origin last year where it resembled offensive lineman running blocks for kick returners.

You have to be joking. The level of attack this season has been largely abhorrent and it is due to the ridiculous amounts of penalties.

Failing to have your foot on a clearly marked goal line and back chatting are not penalties exploited by your opposition. They’re self inflicted. Laying on and holding down in the ruck is not muscle memory, it’s a tactic that players can magically stop when they’re behind with one minute to go and the opposition has the ball. Sure. Incorrect play the ball in Souths dogs to the letter of the law, you know the things youre saying the players arent doing, it was a legal play the ball. A strip on the latter half of the second half in Sharks V Dogs.
Multiple of the offside calls (not against brailey, he was offside nearly every time)
Edit: also Lewis should not have been sent to the sin bin as it was a dive.
