Would definitely give To'o & Yeo a week off. To'o has looked a bit tired lately. Api & Martin should be fine with only 20-30 mins game time.
I'd love Edwards, Naden, Momo, Crichton, Staines, Burton, Falls, Fish, Kenny, Leota, Kikau, Sorenson, May, Api, Leniu, Martin, Capewell.

1 Edwards
6 Korisau
7 Burton
9 Kenny

Thats how i would go. Gives more in attack than May in the halves.

Api doesnt have a kicking game but is dangerous when he runs the ball.

I like the look of that spine.

I’m pretty sure that Api played some games in the halves when he was playing for the chip stealers.

Ivan’s MO will be to minimise disruption given the move to Queensland. I bet that means May at 7 next to Burton.

Given he has coached this football team to 34 wins, 4 losses and a draw over the past year and a half, I trust his judgement.

It's fine to take a snapshot like that, and say everything is fine.

But look at the 4 losses.

3/4 May is playing 80 minutes - 2 of those in the halves.
2/4 Burton is in the halves.
We're 0/2 from games this season without Luai and Cleary.
Burton has never won a game in the halves without Cleary or Luai next to him.

I expect May and Burton to be the halves this weekend - but I'm not going to be happy or confident about it.

We've had 3 weeks since Cleary went down, and will be 2 full weeks since Luai did the same. If Ivan can't get May and Burton into some kind of rhythm this game, they are a lost cause.

I wouldn't be taking Api out of hooker, he showed how crucial he is in that position v the Eels. With Kenny at 9, we lose that game.

I'd just swap Burton (7) & May (6). Seems simple to me. But not so to Ivan.

as mentioned above - Ivan is all about minimal disruption to the squad, so Burton 6 and May 7.

really hoping for Edwards to have a good game if picked - he looked outstanding in the storm game before injured and really hasnt shown much since that injury.

Naden needs to be in the team - he will be crucial to our run towards September.

Yet Cleary is the better defensive half. His teams concede an average of 7 points and very few are scored through him. He helps his outside defenders and makes cover tackles aswell.

Ivan didn't pick him for his defence. He picked him because he's obsessed with him. May in the halves is not our best chance at winning.
The difference between nathan Cleary At halfback, and anyone else we can slot in there, is he gets the team on the front foot, attacking, so if we are the putting the pressure, we aren't tackling as much, thats why Nathan's average tackle count is low, if you compare them to Burton or May, they aren't completing sets as effectively or with enough pressure as nathan, so they have to take on more traffic in defence as the opposition has more opportunities to attack..
MAY will be picked ahead of Burton, as he can make his tackles, but we aren't going to win games with those 2 in the halves if burton isn't building pressure, he needs to learn that quick smart or he'll get crucified at belmore next year, just like Lewis and Flanagan

Are the development contracted guys going to QLD? Falls might be ruled out on that alone.

Look at the general record without Cleary. The Games we rested origin guys prob need to cancel out due to how weak the rest was. I doubt any half would of changed the result v Tigers. We missed Leota, Api, Martin, Capewell Yeo. That is handy firepower right there

The side will get picked to grind out the win so need atleast a decent side around it.

We were 1 win. 1 draw last year without him. 2 wins 2 losses this year

So 3 wins. 1 draw and 2 losses without Cleary.

For and against is 89-81.

So the team will be picked to win the game in defence

That is where Api is key. if he takes over we will win easily

I hate to say it but I really doubt we'll be winning the comp if we have to play the rest of the season in bloody Queensland, especially if Storm are playing in Melbourne still and even if they have to play in Queensland the situation betters suits them due to their knack of winning in QLD and the experience of their squad. Let's hope we get to come home before too long.

As for this game, I'll settle for a 1-12 win over the Warriors. They have some decent individuals but aren't very polished as a unit. We'd blitz them with Nathan and Jarome but with makeshift halves I expect a fairly close game.

Everything is fine!!

If you take out the State of Origin halves from our side we won’t win the comp; and nor should we in a salary cap league. We will still be competitive but we won’t win three knock-out games in a row against the other good teams in the league. We just need to accept that.

Pretty happy with that side Naden in the centers good choice he offers a lot in attack and brings a high level of enthusiasm that has been missing for a few weeks

We didn't have many home games left. Every side we play has to move too. So shouldn't make much difference. We have good depth so it will hurt other teams more than us.

The squad being close should help

Hopefully Tago in for To'o, with Naden to wing and maybe Kenny at lock

Yeah I don't see Toó playing. For me now it is getting guys games under their belt.

If Burton or Crichton get injured who is best to play centre in finals...That should be who starts there

Same can be said if Munster or Reynolds goes down for their sides
