ever heard of media Beat up doug?

most of the bad sh*t is coming from New Zealand Media.

Carl, i'd much rather a respected and the best ankle Surgeon in Australia take care of me than some All Blacks doctor.

bloody hell the hell do they get a tony pulutua lookalike on the tv and someone that speaks like him.

ps. damn the was the worse game ever that i have played in NSL!

What does Mark Geyer's comments have to do with anything doug?

Seriously?

He talks out is ass like you!

His comments again are unrealistic, so he is saying they have picked a reserve grade team meaning the Panthers players are reserve grade players

hey bro, calm down mate. mick is a cool guy. you are starting to take it a bit too serious know, shouting your point does not get your point over any better!

Carl I care about my teams Players welfares.

I can about the World Game, just like anyone else.

I trust a professional ankle surgeon who says that if he plays he could sustain longer injury and long term recovery.

I want my players fit and if that means missing a tour, so be it.

"It's a quandary. The NRL basically runs rugby league in the southern hemisphere and the clubs provide the salaries, so hence they dictate to their employees like any workplace agreement.

This quote says it all. He is on Penriths payroll, His first responsiblity is to them. Playing for NZ is an honour, but one he will have to miss this year, so he can be fit to play next year.

Hang on, what about the club's obligation to Tony Puletua to let him reap the rewards of his own success? Let me tell you, if my club restricted my ability to take the honour I'd earnt, next time I was off contract, I wouldn't even give the club's new offer the light of day.

Do you see the irony - if Craig Gower has the same predicament, Penrith cannot prevent him from touring. The only doctor who can pull Craig Gower out of the tour is the ARL doctor.

Here, the NZRL doctor has cleared him, don't you think this is highly hypocritical of the Panthers? They aren't entitled to deny an Australian player, but by all means, they can prevent a Kiwis international.

I do trust you personally have the international game in its best interests, but reality is, Penrith Panthers do not. They have done a "roosters", no ifs, no buts, no maybes.

Dougsall with all respect Tony has an ankle injury that needs surgery. It's his injury that is holding him back. He was advised by the best Ankle surgeon in Australia to have it done immediately or risk an early retirement. He's 25. Retirement at that age would more fearful over anything else and is most likely the reason he is reluctantly decided to have surgery on Nov. 21.

Now you are talking sh*t maybe you should delete that!!

They said their was no risk of the injury getting worse if managed probaly...

I am speaking sense Carl. The only reason you would like me to delete it is because it is more realistic than anything you are saying at the moment. You are being too emotional on all this and you are not taking into consideration, like New Zealand, the players long term well being. I watched him on the news tonight. I wonder why they are not interviewing him over his thoughts on this? The answer to all of our questions is with that.

Penrith dont even care about international league

I remember when the Conneticuit Wildcats in the USA just started out, and there was people talking on the Penrith site forum asking if the panthers would be a sister club, like some other NRL clubs have with the US clubs. and R said no, Penrith would rather focus on other things than that. it was ages ago it was posted, but i remember it

Why do you think he wont talk on camera!!

If he says he still wants to go then Penrith will fine him big time, if he says no I better go back and have the operation the Kiwi fans will think he doesnt care about country but his club.

If the D was up to Tony, why did Penrith come out and say that if he goes he will be taken to court and fined bluh bluh bluh..

THIS IS A ROOSTERS CLUB IN THE MAKING, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEMSELVES AND NOTHING ELSE IN RUGBY LEAGUE.

Thank god we have clubs like Brisbane, Canberra, Wests, and Newcastle that care about the game Internationaly, unlike the Panthers and Roosters.

You know for a country that cares so much about rugby league, you seem to want to injure one of your best players by allowing him to play.

Quite frankly Carl, I don't give a shit what you say because did Penrith say that he would get fined, or did New Zealand say that Penrith said he would get fined. PFFFFT!!!

*EDIT - PK* Thats about the credibility that statement holds.

I know someone that had an ankle injury. He had an operation and thought all was ok. He started walking on it too soon and then had another operation to have it PERMANENTLY IMMOBLISED! Is this what you kiwi's want for one of your international boys??? I know I don't wnat that to happen to one of my Panther boys. It is a risk. Look at Marty Lang. He had to retire due to a chronic ankle injury. If T doesn't have this operation he may have to cut his career short just as Marty did. Marty is only 29, Girds kept going til he reached 32 and there have been others that have played well into their 30's. I'm sorry but T is too good a player to have an early retirement forced upon him just becasue NZRL wanted him to play in a test match when he was 25.

*EDIT - PK*

Thats tops coming from a moderator, but then again your a Penrith fan so I would expect any less....

I do believe Penrith have confirmed they will hit him in the pocket if he does go....

Man you guys dont want to believe anything about your club that proves you are wrong....

The guy has said on Radio and in the papers that he wants to tour and Penrith have not denied anything, ifact he has said that tony will not tour...

"Basically what Mick has said to me is that if Tony wishes to tour against the club's wishes there will be legal and financial ramifications for Tony because he'll be in breach of contract.

Good on you Penrith take legal action against your best forward HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Bluh bluh bluh is that all you can come up with?? gee its going to casue so much damage then why did he play in the finals and they are letting him play the first test?

Because Penrith want him freash next season thats why, Penrith are just in the game for them selves and they dont care about nothing but their own club...hmmmmmmmmmsmells like a Rooster Club

The plot thickens. Apparently the ankle surgeon that Penrith got their info now concurs with John Mayhew and Chris Hanna that the surgery could be post-tour and still give Tony Puletua plenty of time to be ready for round 1.

Your argument now boys? Game, set and match.
