All this talk about who should play who should rest. But I say how damn good is our club that we rest 6 and still beat other teams. Our club is in the best position it is ever been in
Yes we will lose more than half our nsw cup team be that has happened the last 2 years as well.dont know who identifies the incoming talent but they are getting it spot on

The teams we played we should’ve beaten, but the teams we sent out were made look pedestrian. Again point being, bank as many wins as possible now and rest players before the finals.

Not so easy. Look at our draw after SOO

Last weeks

parra
Canberra - may be top 8 side then
Storm
Souffs
NZ - last game at home. So players won't rest
NQ

So you rest the players when you can. On the back of last week the team would be confident of getting the result

Simply cant discount the storm.

Paps
Munster
Hughes
Grant
Smith.

Thats a great great spine.

And munsters lff the grog this year and dedicated like never before.

I still think at full strength its imcredible close between us and them.

Yep we are clear of the pack

Critter aside rest everyone here

Same v Tigers

Even if we drop both. Every team chasing us we play after Origin to make up any ground lost to be top 2

Our pack smooshes theirs. Especially without Welch.

I'm onboard the rest train.

Lots of talk these days about player safety. Playing SOO is one of the toughest football games you can participate in on the planet, and not just physically either. The scrutiny placed on the players is intense.

I find it crazy that there will be players backing up this weekend. Especially if they played 80 minutes of football on Wednesday night.

Even more critical to win these games we are expected to win then. Those saying this games means nothing have no idea.

I agree the game is critical. As I say each and every week, no game is a gimme either. I'm pleased to see Yeo being rested, would like to see all bar Crighton sit on the pine this week.

This is something the club didn't manage well last year, and it came back to bite us on the bum late in the season.

O'sullivan was bought to the club for this role. Origin is a huge game. Cleary looked like he'd gone 10 rounds in a boxing ring after Wednesday night. Give the bloke a chance to physically and more importantly emotionally recover.

Our ladder position allows this.

Newy will come out breathing fire and brimstone. I don't believe the origin blokes need to be 'belted up' any more.........for a club game,

So when do you rest the guys then?

Lets assume they back up after all the games

SOO1
Newcastle
Warriors
SOO 2
Roosters
SOO 3
Tigers

That is 7 games in 39 days... Which is crazy when you are 4 points clear of 2nd

will Ivan/Coaching staff be swayed by the Storm result tomorrow night? if the Storm lose - we can afford to rest players as a loss to the Knights still keeps us 4 points ahead on the table. Though you could also look to play everyone and potentially go 6 points clear...

I think it is more a case of see how the players feel on game day

I wonder the reaction if we lose to Newcastle on Sunday.🤷‍♂️
Be better than the reaction if we played Cleary or Yeo and they copped a season ending injury.

We dont need this win. It would be nice to have, obviously. But losing won't drop us down the ladder. We're in a great position to not be taking risks on our stars.

We are a chance win without them. So its not like we're throwing away any chance at 2 points.
