I'm onboard the rest train.
Lots of talk these days about player safety. Playing SOO is one of the toughest football games you can participate in on the planet, and not just physically either. The scrutiny placed on the players is intense.
I find it crazy that there will be players backing up this weekend. Especially if they played 80 minutes of football on Wednesday night.
Even more critical to win these games we are expected to win then. Those saying this games means nothing have no idea.
I agree the game is critical. As I say each and every week, no game is a gimme either. I'm pleased to see Yeo being rested, would like to see all bar Crighton sit on the pine this week.
This is something the club didn't manage well last year, and it came back to bite us on the bum late in the season.
O'sullivan was bought to the club for this role. Origin is a huge game. Cleary looked like he'd gone 10 rounds in a boxing ring after Wednesday night. Give the bloke a chance to physically and more importantly emotionally recover.
Our ladder position allows this.
Newy will come out breathing fire and brimstone. I don't believe the origin blokes need to be 'belted up' any more.........for a club game,
