Penrith's draw this year...

He would not be first choice at many clubs, FFS...

I give your lot a wrap, and you get all twitchy about John
I listed the injured players that would be picked if fit for the clash against Storm and you basically made out as though he is irrelevant. He might not be part of our top 17, but he was still an important player in our team as he was a first grade quality replacement in the halves. His injury meant we have used players out of position to cover injury to our halves.

My question is why do you even care so much...?

Easy draw and then keep getting every bit of luck in games, plus I am not a real big fan of the fans like yourself.

Before this year all panthers fans where pretty much hiding under rocks on here until this season

Mx your blowing your own trumpet to much again, panthers will go out in straight sets in the finals and deep down you know it especially now after the final blow where segie might be gone for a while.

Finals football is a total different cattle of fish and you don't have that star marquee player that will come up with the big play at the right time unless you actually consider that to be soward?

I would feel more confident in winning a finals match if Broncos were there. Instead it's going to be quality teams by the look of it, and yeah our injury depleted side will probably be up against the odds playing in the finals. But Atleast they will be there.

Whereas lil peckers like you are still making noise outside the top 8.

Panthers fans are great. Not getting ahead of themselves, not starting minor premier threads, not bemoaning injuries, none of that. Seem like reasoned, intelligent football fans.

Long may they continue to piss nipsies like you off.

Haha mx told to stop blowing his own horn by the guy who starts a thread proclaiming a new dynasty for his club on the proviso that they sign 5 marquee players and all their old players hit hayday form. Classic.

Anyway back on topic. Penriths draw has started to even up. I was really stoked when we were closing out games in the middle third even if they were bottom 8 sides Penrith have always had issues with that so it's great progress. We have had a lot of issues with the run into September also and it looks like that's in hand this year. Get rid of this injury curse and we have a good few years coming up.

That's quality, would read again.

Penrose: I wpuldn't say Pennies fans aren't bemoaning injuries. But I don't blame them for it. Not many teams would be able to achieve much with the lengthy injuy list they currently have. Finishing top 4, if they manage it, will be a remarkable achievement.

No..bemoaning was probably the wrong word. But nor are they having a massive sook about them like they're the only team in the comp copping them.

Ivan appears the least worried about the draw or injuries, Soward doesn't seem phased by much either, maybe because the Panthers are travelling better than expected by those who count . . . even go as far as saying they've already done enough this season

Exactly. All fans bemoan injuries but they are what they are. Pretty much all of us had finals to be a decent result. To potentially be top 4 and beating Top 8 teams....None of us saw coming.

The butthurt it caused is a bonus. Soward winning the Dally M and the butthurt that causes is the best I think we can hope for.

I'm mostly pissed off by injuries as we could be the dark horse in the finals if we had Peachey, Cartwright, and Taylor. Not even worried about injuries to the halves. Soward has stepped up and while Wallace or John would be good, Soward doing enough that if we had a full strength pack with ball playing second rowers we could be a chance.

We were a long shot at full strength. But the quality was there and if they hit form at the right time you never know. We had the perfect run to the finals to test us and let us know where we needed to improve.

But this season has been a success IMO even if we don't win another game. Top 8 was a pass, top 4 would be an over achievement. Especially with our injuries.

If the Roosters can't win it, I really hope the Panthers take it out above the other 2 top 4 sides, and pretty much any team in the 8 really. Logic says the injury toll will finally catch up to them, but they seem to have such a solid game plan that they can all stick to that injuries barely seem to affect them.

By the end of the season they will have played just as many top 8 teams as Souths this year as well. So you can't say the Panthers have had an easy draw without also pointing the bone at the bunnies.
