We gave Melb way to much ball in the 2nd half they will punish any team who does that. But you have to think with those 5 players it woulda been a lot closer.

Exactly. The 1st half we showed what we can do. They scored off an intercept and a kick... The 2nd half we were dreadful and only had 2 tries put on us.

I will take that performance in defence any day.... Attack is different but with Seg who knows

+1. A few years ago, if the Storm put in a similar performance, it would have been something like 48-6, with us fluking a try probably early on or late in the second half.

Still a way to go, but the gap between our best and worst has been increasingly diminishing under Cleary.

The Panthers supporters have a healthy respect for opposition teams.
Manly and NZ now eh? Maybe we can win one of those.
I'd definitely prefer to face the Broncos in the semis than Parra.

That would be the ultimate based on this thread. We meet the broncos and our half-strength team eliminates donkey1992's broncos out of the finals race. Wonder if he'd rate us then?

I think we can live with that. A definite improvement on recent seasons :D
Cleary's been a big step up from the Elliott effect.
