We were pretty rubbish. Qld league fans missed out last night, we should have gotten the other game live.

The Broncos aren't as entertaining as the Cowboys. It would have been much more entertaining to watch the Storm v Cowboys last week or Cowboys v Tigers this week on Friday night.

I am not saying the Cowboys should get more FTA games than the Broncos but it would be good to break it up a bit.

I think they are struggling cause their main attack weapon in Hodges is going downhill real fast. I still can't believe they gifted us Dane Gagai. He looks twice as good as any of the current Broncos backs.

Dragons have a huge game this week. Season defining (well just about). I am rootin for yas to win (if the missus will be in it). Not because I like you, but I want Souffs to lose.

If you can get this one, I reckon the Dragons will make a run to get that 8th spot.

Broncos of the last couple of years are like Cronulla in the late 90's. 5 hit ups and a Mitch Healey bomb. Replace Healey with Wallace and that's what you see. Even last year they played the same style. Problem is while the game is refereed the way it is, it suits their style with big backs running from dummy half when the big forwards need a rest. Realistically Brisbane haven't been an "exciting" team since the very early 90's when they went back to back. A lot of commentators still talk about them being "exciting" so that keeps the perception up.

The best part about living here on the Gold Coast is we at least get the choice of which game to watch with NBN showing the Sydney game and Nein showing the Broncos...I mean QLD game :)

Unfortunately wi the way the game is reffed these days the broncos are a good team. They play boring completion football and wait til a penalty (which they get all the time) or an opposition error gets them down into the red zone.

They then score by one if their Three plays:

1) kick - usually a bomb
2) two wide then an inside ball
3) one off the ruck hit up

Sometimes mccoullagh will dive over from dummy half to spice it up.

I can't see the broncos doing much in the finals. Teams like the storm, dogs, eagles etc will blow them away.

couldnt agree more with this. I've been death riding them a bit this year (i live in brisbane and am surrounded by their perpetually over confident fans)

The refs have been giving them piggy backs all year, plus the 7 day turnaround every single week. Their position on the ladder flatters them...

Also they are completely wasting Justin hodges. Griffin has basically created a new position called 'dummy half runner'

Can't remember the last time I saw the bloke get the ball in space off a well worked back line move. He should really try go to another team.

Broncos are going shit, & they are coming 3rd.

Yeah, that makes me feel better....

Thanks to playing a bunch of shit teams earlier in the year, they'll end up 5th-8th and bomb out of the finals the way their attacking structure/halves are going.

The Broncs have won four of their last ten. They got home against the Warriors due to Maloney missing three goals. They need a big turn around in form to do anything of note in the finals. It's possible they will find themselves dropping to 6th spot after this weekend.

That said, they have two cellar dwellers the next fortnight in Parra and Canberra. Surely they don't lose those two.

I can't cop that, you telling me our backline consisting of: Lockyer, Hodge, Falou, Hunt (K).. wasn't exciting to watch? about that time we had the best backline in the league but no grunt in the forwards, now it's the other way around..

of course it's going to be boring to watch, what we do have though is a very mobile team, so these bombs which we score tries off of is no doubt a move used to make the most of our strengths, which is a very mobile pack

commentators describe us as exciting because of all the talent we continue to produce, it's exciting to see them come through the ranks, personally I think all our problems have alot to do with our fullback having next to no ballplaying ability, you look at the top fullbacks in the league they can all perfect that sweeping play.. Hoffman is a solid fullback but offers nothing in the sweeping move unless he does it all on his own because I have never seen him kick or pass to setup a try in the corner, I always felt you could get away with poor halves if your fullback had the ability to execute the sweeping play with a grubber or cutout pass.. Parramatta the perfect example

Another scoreless, rudderless performance from the Broncs.

You know you're going badly when you think picking Luke Capewell is a good idea.
