The salary cap is locked in as it is a set % of the revenue. John Grant put in place Clubs getting 130% of the cap. So on an $11m cap you are adding $4m or so.

What isn't locked in is who handles the welfare for the ex players and non financial stuff like that.

The cba is fixed term and about to run out. The salary cap isn’t set at a % infinitum. It is being renogtiated as we speak.

V’Landys has stated himself that it has to be night time because there are greater ratings on offer in prime time. Maybe they are (shock horror) in agreement with Nine because on this aspect it makes sense to be - both parties would want greater ratings.

Apparently it is not a puff piece. The article is suggesting we should have an afternoon grand final because that is what the fans want.

It’s quite oxymoronic because if that is what the fans actually wanted then more people would watch an afternoon final then a night final. But they don’t, so they won’t.

I assume he is referencing Cricket Australia? But ofcourse, Cricket Australia are not the hosts of this tournament, the ICC is and their broadcast partner is Star Sports India. Why would either of them care about nine news being on at 6pm especially when the second game was in Perth.
