Like fans from non Sydney clubs dont have to do this every year anyways lol. Such an entitled bunch you are in Sydney! You guys are exaggerating it
fans would travel maybe less than origin but still in large numbers
That’s actually an excellent argumentLike fans from non Sydney clubs dont have to do this every year anyways lol. Such an entitled bunch you are in Sydney!
If you dont think more than 15k fans will travel to see their two teams in a GF you really dont understand sport.
Just like those 15000 Melbourne fans that travel to grand finals?Like fans from non Sydney clubs dont have to do this every year anyways lol. Such an entitled bunch you are in Sydney!

Our club just won the past 2 GFs, might well say ready and waiting for the contender now... the GF is never playing in perth... let alone leaving sydney (covid aside)It’s a grand final
your club might never have been there before
I thought Foxtel got around that by offering Kayo freebies, or does it specifically say FTA?Foxtel cannot legally have sole TV rights for State of Origin matches. Anti-siphoning provisions specifically lists State of Origin and NRL Grand Finals as having to be on FTA. Hence they can't sell that to Foxtel and then work out the FTA component for those matches.
Either that or Labour Day. I forget but it’s been a PH the day after the GF since 2012The day after the GF in QLD is most definitely the kings birthday public holiday, unless my iphone calendar and google are wrong????

Is the western stand in bad condition at Penrith? Could they just build a big ass eastern stand to improve corporates, media and player facilities?
Had a ten million upgrade ten ? years ago to build extra corporatesYes that is still the Original Stand, Though if we are being real only the corporates will get more seating
The stand built around 1990? Is that one not suitable anymore. I can imagine the stand accommodating media and player facilities wouldn't be crash hot.Yes that is still the Original Stand, Though if we are being real only the corporates will get more seating

For once we might actually do something more visionary than them! A superbowl style travelling GF could be massive for the NRL in the same way Origin has become by taking it national.Like how the AFL moves it's GF around?
With the nsw govt chipping in it actually makes the most money in Sydney with the corporates, ticket prices and capacityFor once we might actually do something more visionary than them! There is no logical reason it has to be in Sydney.
Sure if gets the game a good deal then keep it there, but if not then get the best deal for it you can. Use it to leverage what the game wants to achieve strategically. Be it increased revenue, stadium development in different cities or State Govt support for new NRL clubs. It’s a golden opportunity.

And every time we add a team so they do to maintain them having more teamsDidn't the AFL copy and paste the magic round concept from rugby league and called it "gather round"?
