They should have had a competition. Martin bowling to Hughes, Hughes bowling to Martin, 10 wickets each, could either make 50?

All that video shows is how far he has come. He has played 9 tests since then and he's almost never been caught in the slips by the quicks. He has all but eliminated that form of dismissal. He is averaging 54 against fast bowlers since then. He is a much better batsman than he was then.

Why is Phil Hughes so useless?

Swatting at balls with a lacrosse type swing coupled with the footwork of a man stuck in cement is not really what I'd call batting in the nets. Providing comedy relief more like it.

Scoring a lot of runs in the upcoming ODIs will keep him in the selectors minds. Backing it up with runs in the early shield games will force the selectors to put him in for Faulkner or Warner and as a result significantly improving the team.

Disgraceful selection. He scored 2 centuries in the most recent ODI series.

No player in Australian cricket history has ever been treated as unfairly.
