It really is. Clarke hates the idea of moving a single position up the order and people suggest there's no difference between batting at 6 and batting at opener? Especially when you've played almost your entire career as an opener.

Getting your eye in against quicks using a brand new ball is entirely different to getting your eye in against spinners and an old ball.
