We need Twatto to step on balls before tests, not one dayers. HAH on his way to score runs against the Zims. :thumb

Rogers isn't "obvious". Nor is Doolan. And Watson is injured again.

Rogers is definitely an obvious choice. He has formed a good partnership with Warner. Rogers has played some vital innings and got us out of bad situations. He plays a good second fiddle roll to Warner and if either gets out then the other will be more dominant in the next partnership and keep the score moving.

Alex Doolan does deserve another chance he has only had one chance against South Africa which was a very tough ask.

Phil Hughes has had so many chances about 4 goes at it to keep his place in the team!

Hughes may get an opportunity in tests in the next 6 months but he will fail regularly yet again. He doesn't have the temperament for test cricket or the technique. The upside to Hughes is I see him contributing in ODIs.

I reckon stepping on a ball is a smokescreen for Watto

Juts had a kid, so rather than say he isn't going and cope flak, using the ball as an excuse

Test series v Pakistan coming up and a big summer with India, plenty ODIs and the world cup

Any spinners in the SA A line up?

If for some reason he gets picked for the series against Pakistan their spinners will be licking their chops.

Hughes finishes on 243 not out. His highest ever first class score.

He did fine against Swann in his second most recent test. And 2 80s and a 100 in his last 4 matches against Herath. And a 60 and 40 in his last 2 tests in India.

About test selection, the only locks are Warner, Clarke and Smith. They will find a place for Hughes in October. The Rogers show has gone on long enough, it has been 8 months since he last played, I could see them making the change now.

Rogers got a ton against SA in the last series in addition to two tons in the last Ashes.

He's currently the second highest run scorer in Division 1 of the County Championship. He's not going anywhere.

You must not have watched the way Rogers has batted you must have watched something else! Rogers has done a very good job. Michael Clarke along with the rest of the team would say he has got us out of trouble at crucial times. He will retain his place.

Explain why Rogers wasn't given a contract then.
My best theory is you're just plain wrong
