Kevvie Walters is a good stick, he was in Campbo in 2005 for the GF do at the arts centre for TV and I kept telling him he wasn't a westie so he should put the Tigers jersey on or he wouldn't get out alive.

How old we're you when you refereed hayne? He's only a year younger than Inu, so you must've been 13??

I was 15. It was only a local schools knockout at st Greg's college in campbelltown. He must have been in the u/14's. (was still a wanker)

Was also touch judge in the under 15's gf that day. On one team there was Michael lett and the other had Shannon McDonnell.

Have seen quite a few Knights players come into my work place. Not a footy player I know but have also seen Gary Gilmore come in as well and for a brief period of time I worked with Terry Martin the former Raiders player

Somewhere, Gary Gilmore and Terry Martin are making forum posts about the glorious occasion when they met our savior IanG.

Went to primary school with Jason Nightingale and he used to live down the road from me. He was in the year below me (same grade as my sister). I remember once I was stuck at Hurstville station at about 4am with no money after catching the night rider home from the city. Ran into Jase and he offered to share a taxi with me. I still owe him for that, would have been a long 1 hour walk home. I still see him from time to time at gigs for a mutual friend of ours and he is always super friendly. Top bloke!

Also went to the same primary school as Mark Gasnier. I still remember him being able to dunk the basketball in Year 6 while I was in Year 1 at the time. Have met Gaz at a few charity events recently and had a chat to him. Very friendly guy and happy to talk to everyone.

My mum's a doctor, said that Greg Alexander used to be her patient back in the day....

Seen terry lamb a couple of times at the casino, doesn't mind a punt. Has swallowed an absolute sheep though when compared to his playing days

Seen Fatty around a few tabs in the city. Another mad punter. The biggest was Joey johns though....I remember being up at hartigans maybe 10-15yrs ago and watching him lay out $500+ on every race. The man was a lunatic

Probably three years ago, ran in to Craig wing and mini at the cruise bar. They were definitely high on life at the time, mini was being held up by the wall haha

Seen riddell a few times at the Oatley and Picnic Point hotel. Good guy, very down to earth

I was in the same terminal as blocker back in 2004 when in Singapore. Nice enough guy, I'd just come back from a contiki through Europe so he was asking me if I'd shagged loads of girls haha. I still think he is a bit of a twat on the tv and radio though

Michael buettner came to my school once as a kid to teach us how to tackle. Awesome guy, very friendly

Saw Willie mason down at a German beer garden out towards st kilda the other year. Was happy enough to talk to anyone. The media just give it to him because he isn't that much of an intellectual. Shame because he isn't a bad guy in person

My brother knows a coach at the dragons, used to hear some things about ennis. Apparently he is even a bigger shit stirrer then what the media makes out. Absolute worm, not well liked!

Ran in to Petero at Sydney airport last year. The guy is such a beast! So so tall

Back in 04 I ran in to Luke Rooney whilst out in Leeds. Awesome guy, very unassuming

My Uncle and Auntys neighbours are related to Joel Romelo from Canterbury. A couple of years ago he was signed with Penrith and we spent Christmas at their place which resulted in a game from backyard footy. I ran around him and scored and I was very proud haha! He wasn't all that tall but very stocky and could step like a bastard!
Some of the stories of the tours they went on in the junior rep sides were crazy.
He could put it away too!

Gavin Allen comes into my work and is the nicest guy you'll meet. He's now the Australian team manager and loves telling stories about the 4 nations tours.
Players aren't allowed to bring women back to the team hotel, but they found out a few years ago that one of the players had done it. So they had a team meeting....'Look guys we know one of the players has brought back a lady to the hotel last night, its not on...too much drama...we wont name him or anything, he knows who he is, but we dont want it happening again.'

Apparently one player put his hand up, which wasnt the guy they originally knew about and admitted to it, followed by a couple of others! HAHA!

A couple of others. After the 2002 Dally M's, Bert Kenny was going to his car... the wife was a fan of his for some reason so she went and called out to him for an autograph, he ignored her... she was pinged off, I didn't really care, its his time he can do what he wants.

Saw Darryl Brohman at the TAB at Padstow a few times ... big unit. Looking at him and seeing him at the TAB, we called him double P. Punt and Pies.

Living and working in Brisbane, it's damn near impossible to not run into Broncos and QLD players occasionally. Peter Wallace used to frequent the cafe downstairs at the office block that I worked in, I'd see him all the time. I also bumped into him at the airport once, the poor guy probably thought I was stalking him.

Saw Dave Shillington near ANZAC Square a couple of years ago during the Origin period. I remember thinking that he's not nearly as big as you'd expect a prop to be. He must've noticed me doing a double take as he gave me a knowing grin as we went past each other.

Saw Corey Parker, Andrew McCulloch, Josh McGuire and Ben Te'o almost get run over while jaywalking in Edward Street and then proceed to flip off the cars that horned them. Classy.

Saw Lote Tuqiri and a bunch of his nuffy Wallabies teammates in a Parramatta cafe the weekend of the World Cup final when they got owned by England. Surly bastards who acted like they owned the place.

Was driving in Wollongong a few weeks after the Dragons won the 2010 premiership. The dragons were having their awards night at the Chifley Hotel. I saw Neville Costigan at the front smoking with another guy.

My first thought was "oh well that's Newcastles problem now".

Nice try. But in my line of work I quite regularly deal with footballers, not once have I had the urge to talk beyond what I have to professionally.

I'll try not to take this thread down the gutter but couldn't resist.... because you work in a brothel?

Most of mine involve former players

Played soccer for a few years with John Gray, former Norths, Manly, English player.
Used to work with Lee Oudenryn ( and beat him at table tennis).
Almost had a road rage incident with Kerry Hemsley around Five Dock (luckily for me we didn't).
Saw a former Manly/ Souths hardman in drag at the old Taxi Club after an awards night ( and no it wasn't Ian Roberts). Speaking of the Taxi, Terry Hill used to be a regular visitor.
Was fingerprinted by Don McKinnon at the old North Sydney Police Station - obviously a case of mistaken identity.
Used to live across the road from Ross Conlon in Ashfield in the early 80's, Ross used to easily overtake 80 year old pensioners walking to the shops.
A former tricky Souths Half visited my attractive flatmate a few years ago and I had to make myself scarce.
