One major difference is that the Dean Pay had a mostly reserve grade side with some park footballers masquerading as first graders.

Well... It’s clear to see that the people running the Broncos have zero idea of how the place actually works.

Also obvious that Seibold had zero idea as well.

The board and the coach pushed ahead with a mandate for change and the rest of that organization didn’t want a bar of it.

Now the board have torched the coach and will have to back flip on all the other changes.

Can’t see how it’s viable for them to keep their jobs.

Yes and no. CEO Paul White already has one foot out the door (he's resigning and finishes up iirc towards the end of the season). Hence media reports have been that the Broncos intend to recruit a new CEO first before hiring a new coach. That's why there were reports a couple of weeks back about Ben Ikin submitting an application for the CEO job.

He was talking about the level of criticisms levelled at him by former Broncos players, not fans. Only Parramatta have had ex-players hit out at issues at the club, but that has mostly been at Board level going ons.

He only cried because all the players had "We Want Kevvie" or the Courier Mail "THis man will win a premiership" photo as their Zoom backgrounds during his address to them.

Going on about his reputation. Champ you had 2 barely pass mark years with squads you walked into that someone else built.
The bloke's a fraud and a narcissist.

Have to admit, I bought into it. After that first year with Souths I thought he could be the next big thing in coaching. But first year truly on the reigns was a total collapse. Every decision he's made on his own has been a bust.
Looking back, it would be hard to go wrong with that Souths squad built by Richo and Madge. He had a good assistant in Furner, too.


All that said, he didn't hire himself for 5 years.
The Chairman has to follow the CEO out the door, he's had his fingers right in this shit pie. Lockyer, Peter Nolan, and most of the Moses-managed players need to be f**ked off too. Newscorp should run the worlds biggest broom through the joint.
Make no mistake, Broncos are at Eels 2010-2016 levels right now. Not surprised to see some of the same faces involved.
