Sigh, they pay a tax on the profit and other areas or revenue that get taxed. So that pre tax profit is in reality $3.2mill in the bank when the tax man takes his share. Eagles achieved $3.6mill profit after tax. Keep scrambling though its very funny.

ah another prediction :)
Stop talking rubbish

Brisbane broncos are the most profitable football club in Australia

There were 3 world cups held while the Force existed, with Australia finishing as runners up and 3rd in 2 of them (both of which the Rebels existed for).

After they were booted from the competition, we lost in the quarter finals and then out in the pool stage.

That'd indicate that it was actually them getting booted that made us a tier 2 team right?

How many players from the 2007, 2011 and 2015 World Cups played in the Brisbane and Sydney competitions before the talent base was diluted by the Force and Rebels?

I'd so most of them.

Force and Rebels entered in 2007 and 2011. There were still plenty of experienced players who made the grades pre-2007 running around in 2015. By 2019 they were either retired or close to it. We've now had an entire generation play in weakened competitions across Brisbane and Sydney. The results at this year's world cup speak for themselves.

This is not true.

The quality of the Brisbane and Sydney competitions suffered when they lost players to Melbourne and Perth. The weaker competitions created a lower calibre of player who wasn't hardened enough to play against New Zealanders and South Africans. Fans tuned out because it became boring.

Australian teams have won 4 super rugby competitions. 2 for ACT, 1 Reds and 1 Waratahs. The Reds and Waratahs both won their titles when Melbourne and Perth teams were in the competition. In fact the Reds won in 2011, the year Melbourne joined.

Keep lying.

Seriously Ive just given you the link to their end of year audited financial report for 2022. take a read.
Youre now talking about 2023. we cant compare yet as the full reports for both clubs are not available.

Second half financial loss vs the broncos making 3.6 million over six months

There is no way this is true.
Leave him in his little dream land lol
Eagles have $100mill in retained surpluses, Broncos $10mill. But Broncos are the most profitable club lol

Broncos werent even in top 3 last year. Collingwood and Carlton both had much greater revenues and net profits.

Without the Storm the broadcast rights would be significantly less and the annual grant would be less.

Do you have any evidence to support this?

It can be argued that if the Storm didn't rate well in SEQ and Sydney then the broadcast rights might be significantly less. What it took to get the Storm where they are cannot be replicated in Perth. It's delusional to think a Perth-based team will sit inside the top four over its first 25 years with the best players from Queensland. It's just as delusional to think rugby league fans in SEQ will choose a Perth-based team over the Broncos, Dolphins, Titans and Cowboys. If we go back 25 years, the Cowboys were a joke and the Broncos were on the nose due to their involvement in Super League. Things are different now and Perth won't have any of those advantages.

It really doesn't matter how many people in Melbourne are watching on 9gem or how many Victorian born players are in their squad. Melbourne is a 5 million people market and if the NRL didn't have them it would literally be a joke of a competition, it couldn't have the "N" in its title - 9 nor Fox wouldn't bid anywhere near as much.

This is all speculative and there's no evidence to back it up. It's just as bizarre as your claim that the only reason we don't have an NRL team in Perth is because the networks don't want to devalue Origin, and; the ARL and ARU must have a secret agreement in place to give the Force "space".

That is why News/NRL pumped so much money into them, they know how important it is. In Business and marketing perception is often more important than reality.

News Ltd axed Perth because they don't have a big stake in the Perth print media. In Melbourne they have a strong publication.

Ch7 and their network C7Sport held the AwFuL broadcast rights in 1998. Murdoch threw the kitchen sink at getting the AwFuL broadcast rights in 2002.

Brisbane 3 isn't going to make a dent in AFL's growth, it is 20 years too late. It's great they have a pokie den that can chip in some money.

A Perth-based NRL team isn't going to make a dent in the Perth market. The war was lost 26 years ago. Eagles and Dockers are too big. Just ask @Perth Red. He'll tell you how massive the Eagles and Dockers are compared to the Broncos!

What makes you think a Perth-based NRL team can do what the mighty Broncos cannot?

There are pokie dens all over QLD though. There is no demand for a 3rd team yet, the public would be taken by surprise and it would struggle to gain traction.

This is just your opinion.

Some diehards would love it but you need more than a few thousand hardcore fans. Dolphins were mostly spot on with the brand and the timing was perfect. Tigers won't get the same reception.

You don't have any evidence to support your opinion.

Broncos have net equity on the books over 40 million

And as usual assets aren’t shown at market value

afl is ruining one of their best clubs to keep its worst clubs alive

And eagles have a net equity of $108million.

Eagles dont need the AFL's money. Neither do the Broncos need an extra $5mill, its just wasting it giving more profit to rich owners or shareholders.
