Good argument. So TV audience in Perth for NRL is about 6k. Last crowd at Perth rectangular stadium was 6k. These facts. Cry bitch

When was that game again - five years ago? Also, who gives a f*** about FTA ratings? If you are watching league you ain’t watching it on FTA

O
Haha. Good put down rickles

If ur in Perth u ain't watching

If you are watching FTA league coverage that might explain some of your views. Their coverage is definitely from about 20 - 30 years ago.

People are turning away from FTA because it is generally terrible and are watching streaming services. Why wouldn’t you unless you are happy watching endless reality shows or terrible sports coverage?

Another reason is the general lack of access to the code for fans of a lot of teams. If you follow anybody outside the Broncos the only way you are going to see your team play regularly is by getting PayTV/Kayo. This is even worse when you live anywhere outside of say NSW/QLD with games on delay etc. I should know because I did live in Victoria for a time when I was younger.

So, in essence, people outside of NSW/QLD watching League are going to be doing so by subscription services. That is just a fact and yes that would be a lot more than 6k in a city as big as Perth.

Fantastic. I have a son working in Lae who tells me of the passion for RL.
If the federal government is going to pick up the bill, I am all for making the NRL a more international competition

It would be an amazing thing to do if the NRL had the resources and commitment to bank roll it and the desire to see it happen for no more reason than for the good of the sport. Seeing a colourful and passionate packed out Port Moresby stadium every other week would be a real treat. Its just hard to see how practically and financially it could ever work.

Wouldn’t it just. The passion and packed stadiums would be a nice change

Looked about half full. I thought it was sold out or did I get that wrong?
