Yeah I believe it was.

Pensacola, I saw Gus Hansen do that too in a points tournament where he had to win his last sit and go to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Because other players at the table needed certain positions they couldn't call him unless they had a monster. So he knocked out Helmuth, he knocked out Moneymaker, he knocked out Ivey and eventually won the table. It was hilarious to watch.

Anyone who calls a Phil Hellmuth or Mike Matasau bluff gets my vote.

Or anyone who successfully bluffs Hellmuth or Matusow (to give the devils their due, it is quite rare that they are successfully bluffed). Also; Hellmuth, Matusow and any other tilt-prone player would be the rare occasion where I *would* show a hand I was not obligated to show, simply due to the odds of putting them on tilt with the showing.

As Negreaunu says, you let Matusow get away with a couple of bluffs and he'll eventually hang himself.

To be honest, I prefer Matusow over Helmuth. At least his blow-ups are funny. Helmuth is just an arrogant prick who goes around abusing anyone that knocks him out.

Matasau is a funny bloke, a couple of years ago he went a bit too far and the bloke took him outside and beat the snot out of him. Didn't slow his mouth down though.

I like watching Daniel play, always chirpy, always game to gamble. His bit on one of the nuts ads is hilarious, the one where they imitate other players. "I'd do Phil Hellmuth but I don't see him at the final tables any more".. LOL

im a huge fan of poker.

ive been playing PKR.com lately and while its only a relatively new site, id have to say it’s the best online poker ive ever played.

Ive started playing real money and ive been going pretty well lately. I got my initial $20 deposit up to $100 pretty quickly. However it all came crashing down last night when I got nailed on a few very unlucky hands and lost the lot in about 1 or 2 hours. very devastating stuff but that’s the way the cookie crumbles I suppose.

Does anyone here play PKR? I really recommend people try it.

So is anyone here keen for an online game together. It doesn’t have to be real money of course. But a play money game would still be fun…

Both are quite good, also have alot of freeroll tournaments, but they do fill up quite quickly.

Hey heres a tip anyone wanting to play for real money.

For those new to Party Poker or who only play with play money, do you want a free $75 to play with, no catches and no credit cards...?

The reason they're giving money away is because the US has recently made it illegal to play poker online, so much of Party Pokers players now cant play so they're trying to reach out to the rest of the world. So at least check it out and give it a go. Its a free $75 and you can do what you like with it, if you win anything.. you get to keep it.

If you're thinking of starting a LU tourney.. this would be perfect.

I've just seen that due to popularity they are still signing new users up, but your free $50 (+$25) wont be funded until March 8th. But still, sign up now and come March the 8th you can be playing with real money which costs you nothing.

got my best hand ever tonight yet lost................ pre flop had Ac Kd flop comes 2c,3c,4c only against big blind after raisin pre flop too 800 turn u guessed it 5c so i hit my straight flush yet guess who had the 6 of clubs

I got a worse one. Back when I used to play real money occasionally:
I was playing limit holdem, I was in the big blind, button raised (he always raised his button). I had 5d6d so I figured I call and see a flop, suited connectors can sometimes win a huge pot:

I don't think I have to tell the rest of this story, suffice to say I lost around about $100 that hand. I left that table, walked around and kicked random inanimate objects for a while.

I dont play online.

But lately I just dont see more then 1 picture hand a game even lasting 30-40 hands, confidence is getting battered!

You can only see 7-2 ect for so long!

And as for bad beats well how about this one, getting near bubble and pick up pocket aces, folded to me on the button now I am the chip leader at my table with around 46,000, playing quite tight though. I raise 10 x BB hoping to pick up blinds and antes but I'm O.K with a call anyway BB (with about 27,000) calls, flop comes A/8/J rainbow, he checks and I raise 10,000 he calls turn is a 2, I go all in and he takes about two seconds to call and shows 7/9 off suit, of course the river comes out with a 10 and I lose to his straight, now I can just about handle the call on the river, pot odds etc but I ask him "How do you call a 10 x BB raise with 7/9 " and his reply to me was "I was playing for the straight" Truly amazing.
