What happened exactly ?

An ex-employee managed to breach the softwares security and helped a mate of his win a $1k buy-in tourney by telling him everyones hole cards.

What happened exactly ?

It's sorted now but a few months ago there was a glitch in the system that was discovered by two employees.

Basically it allowed players to see the hole cards of their opponents. The employees told about six or seven players who went on a rampage.

Absolute picked up the problem and have had to refund thousands of players - basically anyone that played against the guys that cheated.

Full Tilt has a lot of freerolls but is really sh*thouse for bad beats.

Poker stars has less freerolls, they're tougher but fairer.

There is no cheating EA, it's a random number generator

About 80th, I was card dry for a bloody hour and had to push with rubbish.

I didn't say it was cheating, I just said that Full Tilt is bad beat central.

I see it in every tourney, over and over again. Aces cracked by rubbish, players pulling the only 2 cards they needed to win. It's infuriating at times.

I had AQ, the flop came AAQ. I sat tight and some bloke raised so I called. A 9 comes on the turn, he goes all-in, I call and he's holding 2 nines.

Guess what came on the river?

And that was on the final table of an after dark tourney.

My missus had aces cracked by a donkey who called her with a 3/7 offsuit, just this morning.

It concerns me that people might use their own money to play online.

A bit of advice if anyone is thinking about it, don't. A talent for the game means nothing online.

That's rubbish EA - if that was true there wouldn't be so many online pros around.

Hell, even I'm getting to the stage where I'm considering turning semi-pro.

Sure mate, you believe that. And for the hundreds of "online pros" there are millions of sad bastards who pay their wages with their donations.

I play ok, on and offline and there's no way I would give them 1 cent of my money. To get to where talent can help you have to wade through donkeys and lotto players by the thousands.

Face to face is the only way to play poker for your own money.
