For sure, you look at his impact and performance prior to the injury and he was phenomenal, since his returned his been very ineffective, playing with a rib injury would certainly hamper your performance.
I've had 4 broken ribs and I can attest that it is no fun. Having said though, Fergo has always been inconsistent. Some days are diamonds, some days are stone.

I'd just like to say that I thought the splitting of the game day thread was a good idea until i wanted to reply to some posts in there but had no option to do so. I'll paste this here so i can.

We need old experienced heads (and possibly a coach who learns to play the percentages). Why we didn’t take the field goal when it was on offer is unacceptable.

Game manage from in front you useless f**king merkins.

Percentages is one thing but I've always been proud that we don't play that way. Yes we need to hold the ball and earn the right to play expansive footy. That's a no brainer in this day and age. Yes we need to be better in the ruck with our wrestle. We also need a better kick chase and 5th tackle options. But if we ever give up on playing Parraball when it's on, I will be a very unhappy chappy. As bad as it is ATM, at least we are still trying to play footy the way it was meant to be. Win or loose*. I'm glad we aren't a robotic , boring footy team. I'm not glad that it makes us so shit though.

Im also certainly not suggesting we play one out footy but I think certain scenarios call for calmer heads and that was one such situation IMO.

It looks like there has been some good debate and exchange of ideas today. I haven’t read any of it because I have been at my Opus Dei meeting but let’s get some solutions going.

Tepai Needs to drop some kegs and get his speed back..

It's funny (and not aimed at you, just you brought it up so an easy segue)...last year the vocal majority was saying our pack was far too small and players needed to bulk up.

This year guys like Alvaro and Tep have bulked up, we've added Paulo, and the vocal majority is carrying on that our middle is poor defensively. The "drop Alvaro til he loses weight" crowd are particularly funny, because the two or three most vocal are the ones who wanted him to bulk up last year.

LMAO
