Most of those Gould quotes are from his podcast after last weeks game. A bit cheeky to mix quotes from a week or so ago and last night.

He made all those comments after the game last night.
I haven’t heard his podcast but he definitely said all that on Nine. He is a bloke who like repeating himself though.

I can see where he’s coming from. Maybe we aren’t playing like a top 8 team right now, but then there’s no reason why that couldn’t change. Still more than half the season to go and we are due to get a couple of injured players back (despite the fact that everyone in the media thinks we are at full strength).

I don’t agree that the Dragons would have beaten us if Norman doesn’t go off injures. I still think we win that game.

Obviously, the point is it aint on Moses that the dummy half isn't in position.
Sure, but it isn't a smart move to play the ball when there isn't anybody to play it to. I'm not with the ref either but it was still a low percentage play.

I think the way most people see it is that the benfit of the doubt would normally go to the attacking player in the same circumstances. This is less about what Moses did and more about refereeing inconsistencies.

I can’t have been the only one screaming at the tv for Mitch to let Lane run through and give the ball wider. Happened on about four occasions when we had an overlap. Regardless, Mitch was very good last night and the upside is there’s more improvement to come.

Gus is only
Yep that centre gig is his now. Taka can play in black n white unless we have massive injuries.

Hoff pickid up a slight knee problem at the end. Hopefully no games missed..

Moses had every right to think he would get a penalty based on history! They blow that a penalty every f**king weekend without fail. We get the shits cause we ended up getting screwed by the most inept officials in the world so we turn our anger to our own players.

Did Sivo touch that ball? On the few replays they showed at the game it looked like he didn't, so they cost us a try and then Souths got the scrum and then the softest penalty of the game and they scored.

The penalties were head scratchers to be honest, we were getting penalised for the same things Souths were doing and not getting penalised......i'd love know why referees consistently do this because you see it in so many games over a weekend and they are never held accountable and are never asked questions.

They have a hard job and can't get it right all the time but not taking criticism and feedback won't ever let you improve. Why can't they be grilled and held accountable rather than protected all the time?

I can't argue with any of that.

Penalty every day of the week., Sivo doesn't knock on, and how many potential Souths penalties got let go was just f**king poor.

To compound that our forwards were dominating through that first half, which all else being equal always means you win the penalty count, but apparently not always?

Gould was saying Eels but what he actually meant to say was Panthers!

What does PouPou constantly tell us? We are a middle of the road team and we are sitting appropriately on the ladder. We will battle it out with the other middle of the road teams for a finals spot but we aren’t guaranteed a finals spot.

In summation......PouPou is correct in this instance.

Low percentage play with the possibility of high payoff. Sometimes you need those plays.

I assumed they were (very patiently) setting up Souths' right side defence to open up the sweep runner later in the game but it never seemed to happen. And when do we ever do anything patiently?

That may be so. I may agree if we had won our last three games, we were ahead by a long way, it wasn't the first tackle and not close to our own line. Other than that, fantastic play.
