We were going to go but decided it probably wouldnt be a good idea as we were not sure we could hold onto our tongues after the second half performance or no performance. Would also like to know how many people actually did show up.

Entertainment? Player Interviews and meet the players. Daniel Mortimer, Todd Lowrie, Nathan Hindmarsh and one other (Roy Spagnolo and I were having a chat during that one and I could see who it was, could have been KK)

Value? as an extra it was pretty good.

Players who showed up? All Players including the Injured Nathan Hindmarsh.

Amount of people who showed up? 150 - 200.

Prizes, giveaways? No

Food/Drinks? On Sale.

Did anybody goto the after match function yesterday? if so how was it, how was the mood?

The mood was sombre as you would expect, there were people happy to meet the players but the best part was the Interview with Daniel Anderson and I think he summed up pretty well how everyone was feeling with his comments and he hope to push things forward.

Jod, just for a different perspective, i'll give you my opinion (i know you're DYING to hear it :D)

Entertainment? Keepin it simple stupid - Edgey spoke to NYC PLayers Player and Todd and DA. Just when you were starting to get over it, it was finishing up, and its always good when the players get to cheer each other on and have a laugh and everything.
Value? Not bad at all - the boys must have been told to mingle and talk to as many fans as possible, as once the speeches stopped yu actually saw them move through the crowd. Tim Mannah came over to say Hi to us, and said to Rowdy "Hi, i don't think ive met you yet, im Tim, whats your name" - he's amazing, he introduced himself to people all around! Todd talked to a father/son group from Newcastle for shades of 20 minutes, they were all really appeasing to the public.
Players who showed up? alll except Eric and Joey G
Amount of people who showed up? maybe 150? Most stood at the back and talked through the speeches. There weren't many kids i notcied, but lots who just wanted to clap and show support.
Prizes, giveaways? nope
Food/Drinks? They left the bar open at the back for those of us who needed beersss

Bugger that, you pick the only scary one in the team.

But yeah, our forwards could smash one of their fans who has a broken back, lets give them a payrise and a handjob.

Nice report Jess :)

So was it worth it?

As a club did we benefit anything from it? Membership, etc

yea matey, very much so.
Any chance to show a team going through a rough patch your support is worth it in my eyes, and the team reciprocated by being open to conversation (positive and negative) and not looking like a bunch of busted asses who didn't want to be there.

There was no mention of membership or the leagues club election there at all....
