Home field advantage in week 2 goes to the teams that won their match in week 1.

thats what I thought ... so Dogs playing Broncos at Suncorp ... but am getting conflicting advice elsewhere ... know anywhere can read this officially ?

Cmon you Knights, the Dogs have nothing, go get em !

Cheers
Oink !

This year has to be the closest finals series in a long time. Tbh I can see any of the 8 winning it (except maybe Newcastle). As the run in has shown, on their day any team can win (and rack up a big score in the process).

As a Dragons supporter I obviously want them to win it, but if not I'd like a team who hasn't won in recent years to get it. So, if not the Dragons, go the Eels, Titans, and Knights!:)

I hate to say it but Manly or Melbourne. That display by Melbourne in NZ was something else, flogging them at home, their last home game sending off stacey jones. That took something special. Manly still have that something about them, they look pedestrian but they score points and dont let many in. I think saints and dogs are vulnerable, if not in week one, then later. I dont think Parra can get themselves up again at this late stage. Newcastle still are not in good form, they havent got that hard running edge to their game back as yet, and dont look likely to. The titans i dont rate, and certainly not once they leave QLD.

The winner of friday nights game will be the premiers. The loser will be out week 1. I have a feeling we will lose this aswell :(

Saints are definitely the team to beat anyone who says otherwise is deluded.

I don't think the Bulldogs can win without Kimmorley.

Dragons - Storm final.

The Knights can't win it IMO.

Any of the other seven teams wouldn't surprise me one iota. Going to be a great ride - can't f*cking wait

Titans at home are a different animal than the Titans away.

And you watch Kimmorley run on the field as soon as the Dogs face sudden death. Besides - Brisbane playing Canterbury is reserve pack v first grade pack. I also recall Noddy owning Heather as playmaker last time they met - and that was at Suncorp.

Storm/Manly lose i think they will be out this week, i cant see the titans beating the broncos and the knights have a good chance against the dogs,

Sides will handle manly this year, they are precitable because stewart relies on the team to do the work, stewart cant make nothing out of nothing like the storm and other good players can do.

Manly down fall will be reying too much on stewart

Storm will rely on the cronk, inglis, smith who is the main player ,

Keep smith quiet the storm will find it hard, another factor against the storm is they dont have a coach with game plans :)

I do agree with you that the Sea Eagles rely heavily on Brett Stewart. Had he played the entire season the Sea Eagles probably would have challenged your Dragons for the minor premiership. We have had so many close losses this season where he would made the difference.

The rest of your post is wishful thinking/crap.

GB, I noticed in the 'team of 00' thread you posted ALL Manly players....so unless I wrote Manly as the main favourite I wasn't going to impress you....meh.

na i'm just going by last year.
everyone saying we can't beat melb, we're a myth, they don't rate us etc.....

look what happened last year.
i know we're a different team this year, but honestly anyone writing off melb or manly doesn't know too much about semi finals footy.
finals footy is totally differnt, manly & melb know only too well from experience

so not really about trying to impress me, i just think that stupid statement will come back to bite you on the butt.
i just hope you're one of these posters who can swallow thier pride and admit they're wrong when/if manly go back2back

I guess you think I'm one the Manly deathriders....
I had to choose a side not to rate and that's Manly....the Sharks should have beat them a few weeks ago and I find their attack very flat.
I don't think they'll go past Melbourne who have better cattle.
