I was watching the QLD cup Aspley vs Norths (two middle ladder teams) and to be honest Premier League standard is well above that. The comentators though were talking before the game about playing the winners of the QLD cup against the winners of a NSW Cup. I think they don't seem to think of Premier League as a stand alone competition. Anyway, Parramatta or Newtown would have a field day last if the standard of the top teams is even close to what those two teams produced.

It does make me sad though that ABC NSW don't show the Premier League.

Depends on how you look at it. Forwards Tuafua, Royal, Snowden and Young all got a run in firstgrade last week and all looked impressive. Unfortunately, Luke Davico, who was coming back from injury, felt a twinge in his problem pec and only played for minutes of the PL game, so basically the forward pack was gutted for the game.
Added to that, Brian Smith is now 'resting' two firstgrade players every round, so he sat out White and Patterson this week.
On the good side, a lot of young forwards are getting a run and proving their worth.

I watched that. That giant Aspley forward makes Shane Webke look like a skinny runt. I don't know how he will go in the top grade, but he is the most impressive looking player i have seen.

Very high quality game of footy. Very few penatlies or mistakes and outstanding defence from both sides.
I've seen a lot worse games of firstgrade.
