Steve Price needs to do the right thing and fall on his sword this week.
People keep asking for this, but the only way is for Price to be sacked (he may say its voluntary to save face), but Price has to make the most of this pay cheque.. he wont get another serious gig and he has a family to provide for.

The one good thing about Nathan brown was identifying talent.

He would be good in the recruitment side of things.

If the club is serious & the board finally show some leadership in addressing their mistake in this coaching debacle. I would expect an announcement today that Price has been sacked & replaced by an interim coach in Ian Millward. Both Millward & Hornby sat next to half Price in the coaches box. Benny Hornby should take over as Cutters coach whilst Deano controls the U20 team on his own. This would be the least disruptive whilst the board search for a quality coach to start 2015. I don't believe Neil Henry, Jason Taylor, Nathan Brown would walk out mid season on their current roles & commitment. So come on Board and let's start to fix things.

My daughter was sitting with me to watch the game yesterday (she has a bit of a thing for the Morris boys - so the perfect game for her to watch). As the dogs were nearing the line I said to her "they'll go in here". She said "how do you know? They seem to be defending OK". " I said "I just know". Sure enough, 2 plays later, they went over. After the first try I said to her "The bulldogs will score alot of points today".

It was evident from the outset. There was no heart and no commitment.

What disappoints me is the lack of camaraderie in the team. There's no support, no talking or fire in the team throughout the game. It's like not one of the players wants to play with the rest of the team. There's no congrats after a good job, there's no vigorous back slapping after a good tackle, there's just no 'team' in the team. It's like a bunch of individuals who don't know each other turn up on the day to play a game of footy.

There is something definitely missing.

Good post .
It was a like watching a bulldogs training session where the dragons were there to assist with a "match simulation" and were told to go soft so not to injure any of the bulldogs players before the actual match...
Bulldogs were simply going through the motions and were still too strong..

It's the board who must be held accountable.
THIS - has been ignored for too long.
Their inaction has been deliberate - the worst kind of treachery.
WE give them our trust to make the right decisions and through an extended period of time this, this situation - this rot - and their inabilities to alter it's tone can only be their doing.
This business is failing and it is now time for the elite few to act.

Shaun Wane or Tony Smith would be my preference. Both experienced and successful with no real affiliation to the club.

This is exactly what it was like. It wasn't a FG team with any commitment or passion - either in their own performance or anybody else's performance. They didn't seem to care about their own game or anybody else in their team.

Opposition has massive forwards so lets run through the middle? How dumb is that. They should have moved them around to tire them but that requires tactics and a coach to actually have the intelligence to format a gameplan. Even Joey pointed that out.

That is something that Browny was very good at. Actually all good coaches.

The best thing that could happen is that an interim coach be appointed until such time that a suitable candidate becomes available and applies.

The interim can be anybody, but geeez, Neil Henry would add more value then the current regime.

If the Board went with an interim coach it would be the worst possible decision mainly because the only interim coach they would appont is Mary. Price, Mary and Young should be sacked; they have shown us what they have to offer.

Sheens, Smith and Brown in that order, should be the only replacements for the Board to condsider. And the new coach should pick his coaching straff.

This muppet we have as a coach has conned everyone into believing he can coach...he has conned Bennett who recommended him to Doust, he has conned the management who carried out an internal review at the end of last season and allowed him to stay, he has conned the players..how often have we heard senior players come out and say he is a great coach and he has conned the supporters with his constant press conferences about we are a great footy club and we will work hard etc ect. The bloke is a total con and a disgrace

I'm just really relieved that Dousty held the coaching review last September, it's worked wonders this season...

Seems there are a lot of angry disillusioned supporters out there, I know I'm one of them. Sunday was an absoloute disgrace I agree something needs to be done. If one casts and eye over the last 2.5 years our win/loss ratio is terrible. Our for/against is pathetic and it will continue until something is done to change that. To hear PRICE say the teams effort was soft is an insult. It was embarrassing, demoralising, and downright atrocious. The first thing that needs to be addressed is the coach being shown the front door. Second is to put some muscle up front so we can compete at the advantage line. Put GROAT in there, put ALIOMAI in there. The ease with which our defensive line was bent back had me in the feotal position sucking my thumb. Not pretty to watch. Oh and a note to the current coach STOP PLAYING SECOND ROWERS IN THE FRONT ROW IT DOES NOT WORK! People can wax on about signing Benji but if he does not have the room to work he will be back pedalling as well like our boys were yesterday.

Lip service to keep those pesky supporters at bay,he treats everyone as if their IQ is as low as his ,as I said the other day he is a business dinosaur whose crapspeak from the 90's doesnt wash with people today he needs to have a lot more respect for one of the financial lifelines of the club being the supporters who buy their memberships yearly in good faith.
