How would QLD fans feel about Travis Burns as a potential utility? He has been going great for the Panthers this season, can cover the halves, hooker and if needed could probably cover lock and centres also. But the thing that he has going for him most is his attitude... he's extremely tough, gets under his opponents skin and IMO is the sort of bloke who would find another gear if he wore the Maroon jersey.

He probably would step up another gear, but it would most likely still be a gear below the utility options currently available. We're set in that department.

Sandow has about as much chance as me lol...he can't tackle FFS! Lets not mention there is no point having a halfback specialist, at least DCE can fill in at 9.

Still rather Barba over DCE/Sandow. Barba can create something out of nothing and is probable QLDs closest answer to a Marshall or Johnson, lightning agility, immense speed and like Slater always shows up at the right time. And if he turns up shit from his defence then you can always just send him back on the bench

So could Bowen...hmmmmm how did that work out. The issue with Barba is he is a fullback...you aint taking off Slater...where are you playing him (please don't say wing, he is a midget!). QLD don't need a Marshall or a Johnson, they need a utility that can cover a few positions.

Lets be honest, the bench will be Shillington, Hannant, Gillett, and DCE.

Barba can play in the halves and has a very strong passing and short kicking game. Don't let his NRL position fool you. He would be very dangerous in the last 10 minutes of each half.

Meh, they used to say the same about Bowen back in the day and it never happened.
QLD had their success with him not in the team.

Regardless I would put my money on Barba getting a bench spot over DCE. Where do you play a specialist halfback when you have a better halfback already? At least Barba could play in the halves, backline and would probably be more dangerous out of hooker.

Gillett should be there I don't know who will be the other player? Maybe Ballin to give Smith a rest?

I dont want DCE there either. He is not a Cronk who could play anywhere. Shillington, Hannant, Gillett will be there....i hope. As for the 4th benchie - In Mal i trust.
