Oh dear Ron, all that respect you gained in my eyes for your love of c**k rock is quickly slipping away in one thread ....

Freddie is and always will be the king.

And although I love Gunners and Axl, Freddie could also write an album in less than 10 years.
Lol i was taking the piss, however RJD is the best singer i've ever heard ;)

And when Freddie sang, it didn't sound like he'd gargled a few litres of petrol beforehand, unlike Axl

well he has the right sexual preferences.

Tim Rogers couldn't take Freddies spot.
He sings like a man.

I'm happy with Paul Rodgers being the lead singer in Q+PR. When I first heard about it several years ago, I wasn't swayed in either direction (basically, I didn't know anything about him, and only knew one of his songs). The first time I heard him as part of Q+PR was Q+PR's first show - a charity concert in South Africa. It was broadcast 'live' onto the internet (the rest of the concert was live, but Q+PR being the finale and with it being their first show on a first tour, their set was broadcast 45mins delayed and a 4-song package), and I woke up at something like 4am for it. Will Smith introduced them to the stage, and they belted out 'Tie Your Mother Down' - in which Paul Rodgers made a couple of blunders and I began thinking they'd made a bad choice. I kinda let it slide with TYMD not being one of their better-known songs. Songs 3 & 4 were 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are The Champions', the former being another blunder-fest. That put me off him for a while, probably until I heard the 'Return Of The Champions' cd. I have heard and seen numerous shows/songs/performances of Q+PR since, and personally think he does a great job. With him being in the same age bracket as Queen's members (current and former), there's a mutual respect between the lot of them ... something which wouldn't be as strong -I feel- if someone much younger was there in place of Paul Rodgers (eg: Robbie Williams, Justin Hawkins, Mika, ect).
