With the Warriors and Donkeys playing a draw and its a real possibility the Tigers, Cowboys and Sharks will get beaten we could jump a few places on the ladder(for and against still an issue).... ...that is IF and its a bloody big if we beat the Raiders....pretty sure our season is doomed already but for the true believers there still is a faint hope for the finals

This is still the fun part of the season. If we win happy days because we can still make the 8. If we lose, well thats OK too because a bottom 4 finish will put pressure on the coach.
Where it will get annoying is when the top 8 is a mathematical impossibility and then we win games. Thats the ultimate frustration.

Will be interesting to see the final make up of the team .. our star buy to replace jdb cant make the 17 and robson now cant get dropped from the 17 even though he is a cowboy in waiting . To me Vaughan will start and nichols will drop out with hunt starting . still not sold on lucky starting would prefer him as an impact player ( but not in game plan ) Game is there for us to win but how hard is it without any attack from the centres

We got this, Rava and Vaughan will star with Dufty. Tariq is due for a blinder. FMD they’re all due for blinders.

Dragons by 20.
I'm tipping a tough tussle with scores close through most of the game. Our outside backs will have to cope with the fire-power in attack of the Raiders. If we can restrict the attacking power of Canberra's outside backs, we are in with a chance of causing an upset. Saints by 6, 24 to 18.

I'm not going to make any prediction until I know the final 17 and wecwon't know that until about 2.45 when the final CC team is announced.

Its pretty obvious that Nicholls will play, given that Hunt is now in the 17 after the 24hr warning, which leaves only Sailor and Vaughan as the remaining 2 reserves.
ATM, we only have 1 prop on the bench, unless they plan to move Friz to lock as a starter and drop Leilua back to the bench. Or, Vaughan plays meaning 1 of Hunt or Robson drop out.

I'm really wondering now who will back up from SOO given the remaining 19 players.

Worse case scenario (though very unlikely) could see us with Nicholls and Sailor as the halves.

Love your enthusiasm ALSGI. Will always cheers us on to win but in all honesty a loss will also be good as it puts more pressure on the coach. We always seem to "Just miss the 8"...may be good to finish near the bottom , but in reality our roster is far too strong for that to happen.

I’m really not all that enthusiastic about this year any more Getsmarty. Widdop, Graham and JDB would get me enthused again though.

Today with our SOO all playing as predicted and Tariq as well it’s a squad that should beat them in the Gong. We should win well today.

As you say, our Roster’s strong enough and probably going to keep Mary and co in a job by just missing the 8 or thereabouts again.

But you never know what the footy gods have planned. If we can win a few more and stay in touch Graham, Widdop (maybe JDB) could really make a difference?

Ok, there’s still some enthusiasm here, I think?

Mary has already been given a 2019 gap year by our Board and CEO. Will make no difference where the team comes on the ladder. Our management is a joke, I've never before heard such a thing announced publicly.
