Going for Wallace and Soward is just a step backwards and won't help us win more games or set up for 2017.

2017 is next year. We are still in the contest for this year. Pick the best team we can put on the field now and 2017 be damned.

I think Waqa's injury is minor.

If he's fit I think he's earned his place, on the strength of his try saving tackle on Fifita. We need more who can defend like that.

Just saw the Roosters concede a late tackle penatly (Kane Evans) in the Dragons game. Well if that was late the one on TMM was a 'day' late.

I thought the tackle on TMM was questionable at best surprised not more has been made of it to be honest.

Agree...it looked like a shoulder charge to me.

Still not convinced Griffin is an NRL coach.

He's made selections everyone has wanted, has brought in guys like TMM and JFH, improved and kept faith with Blake, given guys like Latu and Matagi the opportunity to play at the line And even temporary tried the Moylan at 6 experiment, I personally think he's doing a great job.

IMO we still look set up for a terrific season and an Exciting few years.

Griffin has made most the right calls. Some duds like letting Will Smith see first grade again but overall hes been a 6/10.

We still have no attack without Moylan but that was the same under Ivan

I thought it was a late shoulder charge too, but then I realised he wasn't wearing a Penrith Jersey, so that makes it alright. Or to quote the biggest grub in the game "but he's the hooker"... :sarcasm:

I just don't see that the tackle of TMM was legal. I haven't watched the replay of the game, could bear to do that, but have watched the tackle on TMM half a dozen times and am in no doubt it was an illegal tackle. No doubt whatsover. There were two far less late tackles in today 's Roosters v Dragons game which resulted in penalties. Honestly TMM is now rubbed out of the game for what could be the season and the tackle upon him was 'fine' entirely legal, no problems!!!! I'm really over the bunker, the refereeing, the inconsistency in the decisions, the two referee's just about everything really.

It's not our best chance now. It is also holding us back for the future. Soward and Wallace were horrible in the halves together. Soward was even less effective when Wallace was half and our backs didn't see the ball at all.

During the game yesterday, Wallace found himself in the backline while we were chucking the ball around and came up with his customary bone-headed plays. His time in the halves should be done, but it won't because we have no-one else.

Two years ago. With one of them actually out injured during the last third of the season.

Yeah and since then we've played 1 game out of FORTY with our spine intact. I'm not confident Soward/Wallace will work but saying they are a disaster together is just plain wrong. The only time they have been together we were a contender.

Wallace wasn't playing with Soward in the finals.

Our run of form came after he got injured... and Soward was in terrific form. He's never going to play like that again for us. Our form has been better without Wallace in the halves ever since we signed him.

Our last halves combination to make the finals was actually 6. Will Smith and 7. Jamie Soward
