I'll be flabbergasted if that's not the case. It was the plan all year, but Segeyaro broke his arm. Anything else would be major panic stations after we scored 4 tries to 3 against the 3rd placed team.I will be very surprised if next week isn't 6 Soward 7 Wallace 9 Segeyaro.
The more I think about it, the more I feel we have really mismanaged our half recruitment. For some reason we decided to go for two older guys, and now we can see them slowly fall off the pace (not that Wallace was any great shakes) and our back up halves are way too young to step up yet.
Keeping Austin or going after someone like Sezer instead of signing Wallace for 3 years, and we'd be in a much stronger position (yes, there is an element of hindsight in this, but don't pretend that there weren't a significant number of people dismayed to see Austin not given a shot and Wallace given three years). I'd be tempted to throw Moylan into halves for the rest of the season (with the added bonus of seeing how DWZ travels at fullback) to see how he goes, because this year is not our year. This is reliant on injuries not cruelling things, of course.
Maybe losing the next few games would be for the best. Then we can play Moylan at 6 for the rest of the year

All of this would be true if we had a number of different alternatives to choose from. The fact is we tried for Carney and Thurston and missed out.
