R19 vs Broncos

I am a person who attempts to see the good in folks, and the good in situations. Hence my forum name.

Yep I would have loved a win last night. But guess what it didn't happen.

I don't expect others to think the way I do either.

I support a footy team, not just for the 'glory games' where every balls hits the right spot, every pass is a line break and every tackle is effective.

I'm also there for the days like last night, the times where nothing appeared to work too.

Here are some facts from last night. You're not going to win many footy games with 42% of the ball.

*The team made 6 linebreaks compared to 1 from the Broncos. (poor handling and the like involved I would say)

* 35 tackles breaks compared to 40

*40% kick diffusal compared to the Broncos 62% (new fullback 3rd choice)

* 12 errors to 6 too.

(stats NRL.com)

So until next weekend when we do the same again.

Those stats tell me 2 things Alice.

Brisbane were very good and we were very poor.

If I'm correct the second half was 18 - 18.

Yep 12 of those for them is intercepts which we probably don't throw if it is closer. The other is a soft barge over. One set they gained no metres.

We got three tries Cleary and Kikau made breaks. Katoa dropped it over the line. Yeo got a bad bounce in the ingoal... So plenty to like attack wise.

Why we started poorly and let those soft tries in is the questions to come from it.

Crichton doesn't drop that ball at the beginning and I'm telling you the whole game pans out differently.

I get that was even until then but one error shouldn't lead to being down 32-0. Across the board questions have to be asked. The 2nd half showed we had the ability

that is true. in a grand final one error shouldn't mean heads drop. however it was a real momentum swing and we could have avoided that broncos set on our line if Crichton doesn't drop it

Our first set was fantastic. I thought...we're on here.

The challenge is, you need to lift when things go the wrong way. We didn't last night until the final 20 minutes but the players and coach know that. I expect to see the best of Penrith for the remainder of the year.

I thought before this game we could beat Brisbane but they got us at a good time. They'd be familiar with the post-origin slump, they had one last time they won the comp. We'll get them in the finals, they'll be complacent. Then we'll get the Roosters.

I thought we could beat Brisbane too but I was worried about them being fired up after their loss to the Warriors.
Did expect to concede 50 points though.
