ugly win.

We won't win the comp.

You could say the same thing about Manly - they won ugly yesterday and other teams like Parra and the Warriors are far from specials to win the comp at this stage. Someone has to win the comp and the Storm are still as good a chance as any. Its understandable they'd have a bit of a dip in form, especially when resting key players.

Melbourne are beatable.

That last drop goal told the story for the Sharks in 07, close but just not good enough in the end.

Melbourne are still getting away with a ridiculous amount of grapple tackle and markers not square, at least one per set. No wonder they can control the ruck and ultimately win 90% of their games. I'll say it now, they're a bunch of cheats.

I don't think it's quite that bad

You were resting a few players including Smith, and it showed. Give the Sharks some credit too.

Wow, who threw that sh*t ball after the "planned" dropout at the end of the game? If he had received a decent ball I'd be watching GP right now.

The better team lost tbh, but oh well, not a bad game to watch.

I must say, Manly should be premiership favourites now. Much more solid than this very shaky Storm side.

pushing the rules to the referee's interpretation and their limits is not cheating. Cheating would be if players in the team were taking steroids.

Agreed. They copped a few penalties for it this game, so maybe the refs are slowly starting to pay attention again?

we haven't seen this before have we?

Yep. Hope the match review committee saw that. Dive for a penalty - whatever it takes to win. I'm glad they're done for the year.

As much as I dislike the Storm, seeing the blatant Dykes dive completely ignored by the officials was ultra satisfying. Good to see that kind of base Cronulla cowardice finally go unrewarded.

Unlucky Sharks.

I thought that starting frontrower (Selmes?) was a huge loss, he was going great, especially with playing the ball quickly.
