I cannot see why we persist with Billy Burns or Feagai. It's the last game of the season and we're 16th - throw caution to the wind, you Muppet, and give Lobb and Toby C a run.

Our game today will be refereed by Ben Cummins as most on here will know. Cummins has reffed 442 games, 14 Origins and 5 grand finals since his first game in 2006 making him the games most experienced referee - more than Harrigan, Klein and Checchin.

Cummins will be hanging up his refs boots at seasons end and he has said to his son that he should referee AFL than NRL based on the experiences he has had to deal with - some good and plenty bad and says that technology has placed a lot of scutiny on all refs and so now at 49 he has had enough.

I think that he has been a good but not a great referee over his officiating time and I just hope that he will lend us a hand today with some helpful rub of the greens and then I can wish him a happy retirement, otherwise, so long.

Interesting read.

He's bang on the money. Ask any one " who's the best fullback/half/centre/prop" you will get a healthy debate.

Ask the same of a ref... silence

Yet they are bombarded week in week out. Cause it's all subjective. I'm not saying that some refs aren't better than others, but I think the game has taken away the old adage of swings and roundabouts.

K-Hunt of a job, but hey, they get paid ok to do it, and seems he's happy to have his son follow his footsteps albeit in a lesser code.

My girls are spending the weekend at a their friends for a sleepover, the better half spent the day with a few of her close friends and they're all going out for dinner tonight, and had an absolute fill up on the punt today...

Kicking back to cheer on the Dragons one last time in 2023...

Hope you're all living your best life too...

No matter what happens tonight guys this year is certainly one to forget. We did have some highlights and so many low lights. The boys tried their best particularly in the past few weeks and after tonight a new frontier to confront under a new head coach. Strange though that while Flanagan will be our new head coach, the three of them - Flanagan, Young and now Carr are really not new to the club.

I just hope that tonight our guys play with the same attitude and effort as in the past few weeks and to the best of their abilities.

Look forward to our next endeavours and our continued postings.
