If he signed Hodgson he also signed Hands. However I don't believe he signs anyone. We have an entire football staff that includes a recruitment/retention committee.

No we don't it's just BA he also cleans the toilets in the league's club... Probably why they are always clogged

It's funny that Reed and Ice went chasing the $$$ and it has turned to shit already
Grass isn't always greener.

Most players see dollar signs and don't evaluate the situation correctly.

Player Managers don't help them with this either as they just want $$$ more then the players earning them.

I think only the Eels and Dragons fanbases have this as their main forum. The majority of Bulldogs fans are on the Kennel: https://www.nospam25.net.au/forum/index.php
I'm not sure I'd claim this as the main forum of the Eels fanbase...? Just judging by the number of posts in "the spammers" post-game 3,2,1 thread vs ours.

So far running at 68 replies, to our... zero (and 14 last week).

Watched the game in Northern Europe due to work, on a very poor Kayo coverage, (or bandwidth or something) so hard to give a comprehensive opinion.
However, a four converted try win over the dogs, I will take every time.
Mahoney - suck shit merkin
I stopped watching channel 9 cause the dickhead calling is exactly that and Johns and Fittler are both dumb merkins with no idea. But geez, listening to that merkin Voss today was tough. He’s such a massive flog.

When I get called to Europe for work I make sure it's during the week. You need to join the union

I think it also needs to be acknowledged that the Dogs have been decimated by injury this year. They are currently playing without JAC, Kiraz limped off early, Thompson and Kikau and a few others. RFM and TPJ were playing their first game for the year. They are basically playing without a halfback such is Flanagan's impotence in just about everything he does. Next year they add Crichton. Meanwhile we had pretty much our strongest lineup out there - maybe Simonson will replace Dunster and it's debatable that Hodgson makes the scoreline yesterday any better from an Eels perspective.

I think in the long term they're shaping up nicely so i think it's too early to label Reed's move to Belmore a cluster f**k. If they get some luck with injury and sign/manufacture a halfback who can contribute they'll be in a good space IMO

Agree. Except you are forgetting we will have money to spend. Waqa 500k or min 400k. N.Brown 500k. Both not part of our squad along with Hodgsons 400k. That's 1.4mill. Or 3 very good NRL players. Plus from what heard we have money now available. Much more then the 180k we got for N.Brown from the Roosters.
Actualy come to think of it we should be better in 2024 then this year.

A big thumbs up to yesterdays officiating Buttler and Badger. That would be the most honest display from a referee at an Eels game Ive seen in years. He refereed the game without preconceived ideas. He let the game flow. No nit picking. Im no fan of Casey Badger as she, like Atkins, is all about "look at me" moments. Yesterday she had a couple of decisions she could have stuffef Our Eels over with but she nailed it every time.
Maybe the Dogs contributed to the better refereeing by limiting rubbish in the tackle. They were both a breath of fresh air yesterday. I do note however Rheed had a back handed shot at the Refs in the post game presser.

I reckon Butler is fast climbing the rankings and could be ahead of The Suttons, Atkins and Klown by seasons end. I also reckon that Peter Gough bloke goes pretty good too

I think there was more to Mahoney leaving than just money...

And despite his performance yesterday, I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat.
