I love Tyrone, but his confidence is shot. That was the worst game he has played.

I don't understand, we are so abysmal at last tackle options I don't know why we bother. Should just pass it to Gagai or BJ and run it. We wouldn't end up in a worse spot.

I hate blokes who've just lost a game through incompetence standing around having a laugh with the opposition at full time. F*cking soft.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Like when a player in soccer has had a bad game and when they get substituted off the field, they clap themselves

I've watched a fair bit of footy this year - there isn't a worse team than us in the league. Full stop.
Unfortunately this is what I believe too.

We could be the first 4-0 team to get the spoon. You know Manly can turn it around when they get some players back. But us? We'll there's not much excuse other than we're shit.

Who (outside of Novocastrians and people who chose to follow this team way back when and have stuck since) would follow this team?

That's the hilarious bit, they want more members, the only way you get more members is through success.

Success is a distant memory and getting further away, some clubs seem to have a plan, we have nothing.

The Panthers have a plan. Let's all follow them. Knights out. Riff in.

We could be the first 4-0 team to get the spoon. .

Don't speak too soon.

On the other side of the coin, those first three (scrappy) wins we salvaged at the start of the season could be the difference between making the 8 and missing out. In saying that though, we do need a few big wins from somewhere to boost our F/A.

Cowboys next week on ANZAC Day won't be easy though. That golden point win they pulled off against the Storm has turned their season around.

Whenever Wayne Bennett writes the next instalment in his autobiography, I expect the Chapter on his time at the Knights will confirm the following:

A year into the job, he became increasingly aware that not even he could turn the club around, due to a pervading "locals only" mentality in the club, a tolerance for mediocrity and a complete lack of ambition to anything more than a token presence in the NRL. Not wanting the sunset years of his coaching career to be ruined by the shit he worked amongst day in, day out, he was only too happy when the Broncos came back to him on their knees, admitting they couldn't work out how to win without him and would be please come back?

Wayne is laughing all the way to the bank, whereas the Newcastle Knights Rugby League Football Club are not far off becoming what Souths were from 1972-2006. The thing is, it could get to 2041 with no further Premiership to show for it and there will still be the same people resisting change and chasing the Brian Smiths of the world out of town with a pitchfork.

Bring on the Cowboys

I hope he does write on his time here. It will be revealing. I hope some supporters are realizing now that he wasn't the problem.

I don't think the top 8 is a possibility. We will be lucky to avoid the spoon. I can't see where our next win will be?

We should have signed Campese. The bloke is all class and a winner. And I don't give a toss he has an injury history,

I have no time for bandwagoners who only support a team when they're winning but...

How long is a person supposed to put up with this for? That's 2 hours of a Sunday afternoon I wasted watching the same clueless bullshit that has felt all too commonplace since Brian Smith left- and remember people who support this very club thought he ripped the heart out of the place! FFS.

It's not about coming away with a loss. It's about the lack of focus and ability on the playing field, and lack of ambition off it. I feel as if the long held reputation of Knights fans for being especially loyal is working against the whole organisation here. A greater demand for accountability from the people buying tickets, memberships and merchandise, on a large scale, would surely go some way to ensuring the next 5 seasons provide more than just glacial squad rotation and ambition that aims no higher than making the top 8.

I went to the match against the Titans a few weeks ago in the rain, and come the Broncos game I will make the trip up as a token presence. But beyond that, days like today make me seriously reconsider how much attention I pay to these inept plodders. Because it feels less like entertainment or an enjoyable distraction, and more like something I do just because I'm used to it...

We have played the same all year. One try tonight came from a team move and the rest from individual brilliance.

Our defence was the one shining light but even that was missing from this game. That try Peats scored from DH was beyond ordinary

We cant even blame injuries for our poor form

This has been a pretty disgusting afternoon of footy. I feel sorry for Gagai for signing on when things looked good. I hate Gidley. So much. Others may blame Mullen and I don't think he's great but Gidley murdered a 3 on 2 overlap to at least give us a chance to comeback. No kick. No pass. Better take the tackle on the fifth.

Unlike many others, I think this team is three decisive cuts away from being quality. Let go Gidley, Mullen and Houston and replace them from within. It won't happen but I think that's all it would take.

Yeah, very disappointing but I thought we improved a lot in attack today.

Not being able to wrap up the offloads and some really poor errors from Sims cost us.

My major concern is still Roberts. I thought Mullen improved quite a bit today but Tyrone was still a mess. What's worse is that the style we played today should have suited him but he was still terrible. Not sure we can preserve any longer.

The outside backs bar Gidley were all outstanding I thought.
