Haha David Tyrell future captain of Souths? Maybe he could play for NSW next year!

It would be good to see Souths sign another winger/centre for next year. I guess it all comes down to who plays where though. Maybe Tyrell will get shifted to the wing.

He's a Queenslander

Souths are probably talking to Lattrell Mitchell.

Awesome. He can literally create opportunities walking with the ball.

1. GI
2. AJ
3. Hunt
4. Mitchell
5. Gagai

Have GI and AJ swap between fullback and wing. You could create some nasty attacking strategies with that combination.

I have no problem with Dave Tyrrell being re-signed. He is a good reliable back up.

If the twins ever pull there fingers out for consecutive weeks then tyrrell doesn't play first grade, FACT!.

Tyrrell isn't going to effect us getting q decent prop in. No decent prop will come on his money. We may be able to get a young prop, but that's always a gamble whether they make first grade. We could also get a journeyman like cherrington or Rochow but have either been better then tyrrell, not really.
We could go a complete rookie on minimum ( looking to be about 120k for next year ) and use that money to help sign another player. Now lets say for arguements sake tyrrell is currently on the nrl average ( 240k). We use that money saved by replacing him with a rookie ( 120k) and move on Someone like Clark as well (lets assume he is on an nrl average wage as well) so now we have $360k freed up. We won't be able to buy much with that on the current market. It'd mostly be journeyman for that kind of money. For example Chris McQueen was reportedly signed to the tigers for $400k. So even if we are great at negotiations ( which the club has shown it's not) we could replace 2 decent squad players with a rookie and a journeyman.

Souths will offer Mitchell the fullback possie, that will be the sweetener, it will be Mitchell at #1 and GI at #4.

Mitchell won't be allowed to leave the Roosters. He was keen to go a few months back but SKD leaving has created the space for him and he is proving to be a very good centre, He will be signed to a typical long term Roosters deal. Basically, bugger all on the salary cap and then Uncle Nick will let him win at golf a few times for cash prizes throughout the year.

Latu and peachey want out of the panthers. Either would be a great pickup. Much better than the powder puff twins.
I like Peachey, but he might be a bad fit. We have Fui and Chricton as second rowers, plus Sutton will likely move back to the 2nd row next year as well.
He has great Utility value though, but 2nd row is his position.

Latu would be an enormous pickup we tried to get him before and missed out he has ball skills our props dream about

Latu could be a great number 13 for us. We could promise him the starting position and have Murray rotate it with him. Then Sam could move to prop and play big minutes there.
