Great news about Sutto and Jennings and I'm really glad to see the club looking to re-sign local talent rather than go to the open market. Imo, we don't need a big signing for 2019 and we can promote from within.

I don't expect to hear an announcement from Sutto until after the season has finished. I know he wants to go around another year and he is more than capable of doing that but what if we win the Premiership? That'd be the perfect way for one of the greatest Souths players of all time to bow out, it would be a fairy tal finish that's for sure.

I'm not saying we are gonna win the Premiership and we can't look that far ahead yet but it would pose an interesting situation.

For mine being a ex-hooker,all half backs are little Prima Donna's and are only as good as the forwards make them.
No half back is worth a pinch of shit if the forwards are being dominated, make no mistake AR's improvement this year can be put down to the twins improvement and Cook having a magnificent season.

No doubt about Seibold being interested in the job,I would say that when he began coaching the Broncos gig would of been high on his wish list.
And I wonder how many of their young gun forwards have re-signed with the pony's under the assumption that Seib's maybe coaching them?

I believe it will be Kevvie, though we'll know Seibold's intentions before preseason i would think.

Trav,so much hope your right mate.I would imagine Kevie would have his supporters, would love to know who the third party is trying to get their hands on Seib's and the $$$ behind them.

Hey Callmack1,

I understand what you are saying, but with all respect I have to disagree with you that for Sutto to go out as a premiership winner that he needs to retire after 22 this year. I believe he could go on for another one or two years and have the same option. Please bear with me as I explain.

As you know I am a numbers man, and as such I have been crunching the numbers on Souths premiership chances this year. Whichever way I look at it, it appears that mathematically we will definitely win this years title. As you are well aware in the lengthy history of RL in this country the Rabbitohs have never lost a premiership in a year that ends in 14 (1914 and 2014). Now I am sure that even those of us with the most basic understanding of Mathematics can appreciate that as we have never lost a premiership in a year that ends in 18 (we absolutely blitzed them in 1918 from memory), it follows logically that we will definitely win this years title.

Now that is basic Mathematics, and as we all know when the numbers stack up the numbers stack up.

Now Callmack, I hear you ask "How can you believe that we are any chance in 2019 and 2020, when we failed to win the comp in either 1919 or 1920?". Excellent question Callmack, and this is where it gets complicated.

I have been developing an extremely advanced theory on premiership mathematics, and I warn you this is extremely complicated shit. Perhaps someone like Itsa with MENSA level mathematical abilities can do a peer review on my findings, because whichever way I look at it they are not only conclusive, but also mathematically irrefutable.

Here goes.

In years that have started with 19, Souths have won 20 premierships.....

I have spent days on end looking at these numbers from every angle and whichever way I add them up I come to the undeniable conclusion that Souths will also win the premiership in 2019 and 2020.

Numbers do not lie!

So whilst it may be nice for Sutto to go out as a winner on the back of achieving 22 this year, I hope you can also see that if he still has the desire to go on and his form holds up, it would be even better to go out after the threepeat.

Once again, if anyone can review the above numbers and tell me where I have gone wrong please do so. However, if I've got my maths right it is irrefutable that we are going :

BACK to BACK to BACK !!!

Cheers Stan.
