How do you know he’s been interviewed?

Of course they have a lot of corporate support, they have a whole city to themselves, we have the potential to attract just as much, time will tell

Yeah we know all about the Gold Coast centre of excellence, well, maybe you don’t :joy:
But I’m not disputing most clubs have a “centre of excellence”, however I believe ours will prove to be attractive

Reported on Nrl that he's already been interviewed along with Maguire. If you want to be at a big club, the Broncs are the giants compared to any club in Sydney.

It could well be that the Broncs will go for Demetriou....but seibs won't be turning them down.....

And in other words Centre of ?excellence = white elephant.

Heck even Arthur is promising a C of E at Parramatta.

Ohhh!!!
HERE WE GO
The Toads reaction!!
I've got you biting without even having to say anything :joy::joy::joy:

What song would you like me to play while I pull your strings with such ease?

But okay, I'd love to hear about how we could afford TPJ and his brother when we're still trying to secure cap space for Sutton and Jennings?

Let me guess, ":sob::sob::sob: Generic childish insult, I'm allowed to post rumours :sob::sob::sob:"

Something along those lines when you can't answer the question?

Another little piece a insider i know just told me is we have targetted demetriou, he has spoken to manly but if a coach has choices manly comes last, if seibs goes he is our target
:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

You really this desperate for attention?

Oh, I feel so sorry for you.

You literally read this in the media today.

We all read the same articles. How stupid are you that you think you can claim things we've all read in the same places as an "insider"?

How stupid do you think people on here are?

What's this salary cap nonsense?

Don't we have third party deals anymore?

Or is that just something the Storm, Broncs and Roosters do?

Clubs aren't allowed to set up those deals under the rules in place.

We aren't cheats

Yes they are.........

What players can earn outside the salary cap:

$100,000 - Motor Vehicle Allowance – a maximum amount of five motor vehicles may be provided to players in the Top 30 outside of the salary cap. (Valued at $20,000 each).

Unlimited - Players can earn unlimited amounts from corporate sponsors who are not associated with the club and who do not use the game's intellectual property (no club logos, jerseys or emblems) provided these are pre-approved by both a Player’s Club and the NRL. These agreements may not be negotiated by the club as an incentive for a player to sign a contract, nor can they be guaranteed by the club.

Other Benefits - Tertiary education fees, approved traineeships, medical insurance costs, relocation/temporary accommodation costs are not included in the cap but must be approved

NRL.COM is nothing more than a glorified Daily Telegraph, the coaching merry go round that they’re initiating is making you & your ilk jump every time they post more crap, if you believe anything from the likes of this mob then you’re a dolt

Who’s is a centre of excellence a white elephant? I’m guessing ours 2ill be most useful, obviously there are different degrees of excellence, from what I’ve heard ours is going to be, Well, most excellent

All this Brisbane this, Brisbane that is sickening, nothing but a glorified country town inhabited by moonshine swilling oiks, all that money they generate from their boring crowds & small town sponsors is owed to their equally boring yokel shareholders
We laugh at Brisbane, & their wife beating, cousin marrying bumpkins, created in the image of deliverance banjo strumming inbreds, they have nothing, do they know who we are? It doesn’t get any bigger than South Sydney, and don’t you forget it kid

Can't answer my questions, can't argue with what I've said, resort to childish insults :joy:

I literally called what you were going to do and you still did it :joy:

Were you not smart enough to pick up on that or am I so good at pulling your strings that I can literally force you to embarrass yourself like this?

So tell me about GI's third party agreement. Remember the problems over that.

Did he get it himself?

What about Burgess?

That clause can be got around so many ways....

Its also impossible to police.

eg if a wealthy club director, plays a golf game with a prospective recruit and bets him $100,000 he can't sink a 5cm putt, there is nothing the NRL can do.

I refer you back to my "we don't cheat" statement mate.

Also, the NRL blocked certain third party stuff for G.I. That's why we had to release Beau Champion before they'd register Greg's contract.

I'm sure we'll find the room for Sutton and Jennings (if it was unlikely, I doubt Jenko would still be unsigned), but if we had enough money to chase TPJ, surely those two would be signed by now, right?

Surely there'd be talk beyond Gossip Girls in forums about other big name players we'd be chasing.

Handyman sulks at me because he tried to tell everyone we offered James Graham 700k when he left the Dogs. I asked him where that money went once we didn't sign him and he couldn't answer, so he threw a tantrum.

Common sense stuff man.

Apart from direct perks, I’d be wondering what gifts, services and other rewards are provided to players families and spouses by unrelated sponsers.

Rusty made a whopping $82m in 2016 from all his movie work, has a large number of businesses and interests.

I’d say he could afford to set a valuable players spouse up pretty good in something or other.

I am not sure that this would need to be declared to the nrl but it would still be an income that would indirectly support the player. So there’s another avenue.

If I was Nick Politis I’d have the whole of the nrl buying cars from one of my dealerships under that cap and the players, they seem to love their cars. He could do this “legally” of course.

People look at the obvious connections, but there is all kinds of deals going on that nobody knows about, so many ways to rort.

I forgot to mention that Rusty paid his last wife out $20m. That’s one massive pay out figure. The price of silence.

They keep a very close eye on all “assets”. Like GI’s infamous boat that was a “gift” while at the Storm and Peatsy’s sports car he had to give back. Cowboys also got in trouble because a real estate sponsor gave rather large “discounts” in a new Townsville development to select players. That’s why the good old brown paper bag is probably still the preferred tool of the cheaters. I’d say there would be a lot of cash in the walls of Roosters players. But even then they’d have to be very careful what they bought with it.
