The swap will 98% happen in '19. The clubs are just feeling each other out over who pays what. A straight swap would probably be fair, but the Broncos probably want Souths to pay out some of Wayne's contract, or vice versa.

Get Cookie signed ffs. Otherwise he’s on the open market next week. Give him his 750-800k before other clubs pay a million for him.

Also whats the news on Sutto? Will he start pre season training next week? We must keep him ffs. He’s been with us through thick and thin. It would be a disgrace not to give him another year.

As for maybe bringing in TPJ we have to be careful we aren’t held to ransom so to speak with player contracts. We can’t pay well overs all the time.

TPJ is worth 750k probably. If he wants a million he can get stuffed.

There were rumours of one of the twins going to Super League for 2020.

Now Bennett is coming I think they’ll both stay.

Also Dylan Walker is being linked back to us for 2020. I wouldn’t pay him his 600k five eighth money though. He’d have to except a cheaper deal around the 400k mark you’d think. Who knows we may not even be able to afford Dylan.

Errrr no
Bennett has the Broncos over a barrel
Souths are, I think genuinely ok with Seibold, Richo has been around long enough to realise business is business, I think we’re quite prepared to have Seibold coach next year
I think all Bennett has to do is play a straight face & keep reiterating that he’s got a contract & he plans to honour it, he wants to coach the broncos, so it comes down to the broncos, they probably don’t want Bennett coaching there next year, so it’s all up to them, everyone is waiting for them to make the move, if they sack Bennett, he gets paid out for next year & Souths pay him as well when he moves over, he’s a shrewd old fox, good on him for angling for a big whack

Couldn't agree more mate, Cookie should be our priority right now because he is so friggin vital to our future and we should be doing all we can to keep him along with giving him the upgrade he deserves after an awesome season.

I've heard rumours that he has already re-signed but whether they are true or not, I don't know. If they're not, surely he can't be too far away from signing because Cookie himself has said he wants to stay.

I think Sutto will start Pre-Season for sure, he loves the club too much not too and he must be re-signed!

No, I was very specific in explaining that it’s Wayne who has the Broncos over a barrel, Richo facilitated that by nonchalantly stating that he & Seibs certainly haven’t fallen out & we’d be happy to have him coaching us next year, next move....Broncos, the balls in their court

Zero tackle are reporting that if Klemmer goes, top of the Dogs shopping list is Nappa, 2 and 3 is the twins.

Can't see anything.
It goes to Twitter. Basically it says GI and AJ had a bust up. AJ feels like he’s being pushed to the wing, because Souths want to trial Corey Allen at FB over the preseason. Didn’t go as far to say he’s asked for a release, just that he feels on “the outer”.

Here you go @southsport cut and paste:

The NRL coaching circus has rolled into town and appears to be here to stay, though there's still plenty of other happenings in the rugby league world.

The Lurker is here to give your off-season fill of the comings and goings.

This week, he's got news on a dilemma at Souths and a few moves that have hit a wall.

Rabbitohs' fullback headache after Johnston and GI row
Tryscoring ace Alex Johnston could be on the move from South Sydney after a disagreement with club skipper Greg Inglis.

I’ve heard the two had angry words recently and Johnston feels very much on the outer at the Rabbitohs.

Add that to the fact that the club now has three fullbacks - Inglis, Johnston and Broncos recruit Corey Allan - and something has to give.

Johnston is a tryscoring machine and a favourite son at Redfern but wants the number one jersey.

Souths are keen to give Allan a chance to show his wares there - especially if Broncos coach Wayne Bennett comes to the club next season, which seems likely.

And then there is Inglis, one of the best fullbacks in the rugby league world.

Johnston would have no trouble finding a new club - he’s a class finisher and they are hard to come by in the modern game.

Johnston has been linked to Canberra, but the Raiders are denying they are keen… for the moment.

Bad luck! He isnt a FB that was proven this year, he is a winger and it pains me to say, let him go, he can play reserve grade at the raiders they have a FB who was better than AJ when he took over from wighton, who may be playing 5.8 unless they pick up another half, and their wingers are first class.
GI is the club captain, and through his ups and downs, should be listened to, they are the 2 who supposedly had a punchup.

Yeah, I was saying it's just a money thing now and to both clubs benefit if they trade now rather than later.

Not good to hear about GI and AJ if that is indeed true, especially because they seemed so close. I'm not suprised we want to give Allan a trial at fullback and AJ shouldn't be spitting the dummy about that, it should drive him!

The Dogs will be cashed up. We will probably give the twins 700-750k season the Dogs would offer a million for 2020 onwards.

Hopefully they stay loyal.

We gave AJ the chance but he didn’t nail the position down. That’s on him.
