Pass for mine,had a good career with souths but he pretty much relied on pace which he doesnt have anymore,would be just taking a spot of youngster,imo.

Gray would now be quicker than Merritt.

Merritt when he was coming to the end of his career was just so slow and so slow in turning around to chase grubber kicks.

Merritt also was coming in off his wing way too much. It was a big deficiency.

I really liked Merritt though. But he is past it now.

Interesting that you said that Franko, now I've heard mixed reports from one extreme to the other. You must have watched some of his games.

I did like what I saw when I watched him play. I did think he would push for a regular first grade spot this year however the Canberra backline is pretty young and slick. I rate him as good as Jordan Rapana.
