Here we go- ranking those who played 5+ games.

Mannering- 7. Reliable. Sometimes brilliant.
Faitala-Marriner- 7 Remind me why we are letting him go?
Friend- 7. Established himself on the way out as the best hooker in the club.
Gubb- 5. Love his enthusiasm. Hate his lunacy.
Havili- 4. Might not have been used with much sense by McFadden. Looked surly.
Hoffman- 7.5. Good signing. We definitely look better with him on the park.
Hurrell- 5. Much like Havili, not helped by McFadden or by himself. Hard to know who to blame.
Ikahihifo- 4. Pretty ho-hum most of the time and sometimes just downright disappointing.
Johnson- 6.5. Slow start, then really kicked into gear. Devastating injury. A real shame.
Kata- 5. Looks great with the ball and terrible without it.
Leuluai- 4. We missed him, but I think that says more about us than it down about him.
Lillyman- 7.5. The sort of player we need to lay a platform for the players we don't yet have.
Lisone- 6. Got off to a great start then plateaued a little. All in all, great rookie season.
Lolohea- 7.5- Mainly at fullback or centre, he's looked the goods.
Lousi- 2. Show him the door.
Matulino- 8. Was playing his best football in a long time at the beginning of the year. We saw last night why he is so important to the team.
Maumolo- 3. Like a comedian who begins with a brilliant joke and then bombs for the rest of the set.
Peyroux. 2. Follow Lousi.
Thompson. 6.5. Surprised me, really.
Tomkins. 5. A disappointing season confirming that he will go down as a disappointing signing.
Townsend. 5. See above, although to be fair he wasn't supposed to be the star.
Vatuvei- 6.5. Still a legend. Still playing great football.
Vete. 7. Started well and kept getting better. All of a sudden, he looks like a leader in our pack.
Wright- 5. At times he was shit. At other times, he rose to the middle.

I'll give this one a go

Mannering- 8.Work horse that just keeps churning.

Faitala-Marriner- 7 Hope we keep him, but by all reports he'll be a goner. Maybe something behind the scenes going on there?

Friend - 6.5 Other than THAT moment, didn't seem to do too much on attack. Defensively good as always. 1st choice over, Havili...

Gubb- 6 - Seemed to get better as the season went on. Needs to pull his head in though

Havili- 2 at best, didn't really contribute when used. Not used to any sense. We'd been better off not playing him.

Hoffman- 7.5 Solid signing.

Hurrell- 3 at best for me. Hard as he kept getting dropped or benched. Given his potential, he shouldn't be squeezed out of the team by a Kata or a Peyroux. Have to say, very dissappointed with him this year

Ikahihifo- 3. Meh, can leave now.

Johnson- 8. As mentioned started slow, but pretty much got us into the top 4. Don't think its any coincidence we fell right off pace without him.

Kata- 6.5. Rated this high because he is a rookie centre and is great on attack. Needs to work on his D during off season. And a new haircut.

Leuluai- N/A Bit hard to rate him after so long of him being out. Feel whatever I give him is unfair

Lillyman- 7.5. Pretty much what Meth said.

Lisone- 6. Got off to a great start then plateaued a little. Was expecting him to kick on further than Vete

Lolohea- 7.5- Mainly at fullback or centre, he's looked the goods agreed, I'd keep him out of the halves next season

Lousi- 3. Bog average. Don't think he is as terrible as he is being made out to be, theres just nothing there.

Matulino- 8.5 - One of the premier props in the game without a doubt. imo, our best player

Maumolo- 4 - Rookie, not played in his better position, in a struggling team, outside not a great defender. He did what he could, but in the end that wasn't flash either.

Peyroux. 3 - Again, bog average.

Thompson. 7.5. He is my surprise package this year. Thought honestly,he'd struggle to make the 17. Turns out he was a key player for us.

Tomkins. 4 - Injured far too much, and when on he showed only glimpses of brilliance. Other than those, average. Without a doubt, never came close to showing his potential.

Townsend. 5.5 Tale of two chads. One with SJ would rate an 8 or so, One without SJ is a 2 or so. I've gone for a middle rating. Has potential, if played with the correct half. Still think we may miss him more than we know.

Vatuvei- 6.5. Still a legend. Still playing great football- agreed. His old legs were probably our best one in the backs along with Lolohea (havn't re-read my ratings)

Vete. 7.5 - Boy, this lad has a future! Hope we keep him for as long as we can. Surprisingly great rookie year. Pre-season, all the talk was Lisone, but I do think Vete has overtaken him

Wright- 5.Neither here, nor there. Hope he plays left next year, thats left-right out of course. Good back up option, sadly with out injury toll, he was pretty much a first choice selection

Cappy - 4 - Higher than what some may expect given coming off an 8 game losing streak. Remember he is a rookie coach, and without trying to make excuses for him, the injury toll was horrendous. I don't think sacking him is the right option, but I do agree he needs some support.

Mannering- 6.Try's to lead by example but seems to be getting weaker at the line. Get him back into the gym and into plyometrics.
Faitala-Mariner- 7 He better not be going, this kid has a BIG future in front of him. Genuine talent and a KEEPER. Getting stronger with every game
Friend- 6.5. Very strong efforts, wants to impact a game but passing game is poor and often takes the wrong options on attack. Still a fair effort but certainly time to move on.
Gubb- 5. Brings a lot of enthusiasm on defense but not dynamic enough for an NRL player. If spends more time in the gym strengthening his leg drive and Jerry Seuseu gets in his ear then maybe could have a future
Havili- 3. Did not deliver on his potential at all, a player who's reputation was far exceeding of his ability. Expect he will be a solid player though for the Dragons.
Hoffman- 8. Total pro. Must be wondering why he came to the warriors, first time he has missed the final in 8-10 years. Leader in every sense.
Hurrell- 2. Went from a superstar to the DUD. Looks nothing like the player he was a year ago. He must be very close to being cut from the squad. Known more for his social media smiles now than any notable performance. WEAK!!!! and easily the biggest disappointment in the squad.
Ikahihifo- 3. Overrated probably due to the Warriors forcing him to become a prop. My good God the Warriors are morons when it comes to destroying players careers. Get out now son and become the player you should be in the 2nd row at another club. Then we can calim you as another that got away.
Johnson- 8. Based on where he got to after the mid part of the season - Shaun matured and showed he is a gun half that can think and change a game. Lacks genuine supports but with Lolohea really developing strongly in his absence and Luke, RTS and even Leualai back in the fray for 2016 there is every chance SJ will become the rounded player the team needs. His injury could be the greatest blessing he ever receives in football. Potential and I stress potential to become a JT type of player.
Kata- 6.5. Cops a hammering on the boards but the kid has a heart of a lion and if you take the few mistake he makes out of his game then he will be an investment that pays the warriors back BIG. Played basically every game in his rookie season, he would of learned a shit load and with another season under his belt will read better options and make better decisions. Has Steve Matai potential written all over him. KEEPER
Leuluai- 4. The guy is overhyped something chronic, but you hear him talk and he comes across a smart guy and cool as ice. We missed his defense ability in the halves that's for sure.
Lillyman- 3 Has no effect on the game, plods to the line, loved by the warriors fan though, which I cant understand. Will admit he is solid in not making many mistakes but end of the day id cut him for NSW prop with more size, aggression and potential. I can and would like to see Sao taking his spot eventually
Lisone- 6. Love his aggression but certainly suffers from having to carry the Warriors pack on his back when he comes on. Will benefit tremendously from the interchange change next season where his lack of size will basically not matter as much any more due to his aggression and big motor. Looks a modern type lock in the Corey Parker model. Another KEEPER
Lolohea- 8.5 The brightest light in the Warriors season. The kid actually went from strength to strength and in multiple positions. Mind blowing to think McFadden never tried playing Tomkins at 6 and Lolohea at fullback durring the season, it could of potentially had a really positive effect on the warriors playing structure. Absolute Keeper and Centre come 2016.
Lousi- 1. DUD and worlds luckiest player to remain in 1st grade football for so long.
Matulino- 6. Going through the motions a bit in 2015 but constantly still one of our better players. Luke and RTS will have him at the height of his powers in 2016. Still world class.
Maumalo- 4. Unlucky to have a muppet coach who persisted with him on the wing. Hope it doesn't effect his development. He is a 2nd rower though it would not surprise me if the warriors convert him into .... drumroll please..... a prop.
Peyroux. 4. Not a bad player but suffered from inconsistent selections from cappy and swapping between centre and 2nd row. Once was rated as a player of real potential but if the Titans were willing to let him go what does that say ?
Thompson. 7. Bruising player who was one of our best on the field every game. Come the interchange rule change next year and I think he will be much more valuable asset to this side. Truthfully he should be a bench player but with this warriors side he is a starter and he will be an important part of next years team.
Tomkins. 1. People were disappointed with his first year with the warriors, well that was well and truly vastly superior to this season. He looked weak, slow and struggled from fullback. Any man and his dog could see what the warriors coaching staff could not, and that was he wasnt cutting it at fullback in the NRL and looked more like a half with his passing skills and kicking game. The warriors persisted though with him at FB......... IDIOTS............ never seen a player ever!....slip over more than Tomkins.
Townsend. 2. Awful, dreadful, went from a 6 early season to a 2 by the end. Opposition lick their lips when Townsend is named to start. The worst defensive half in the NRL - struggles for a consistent passing game, predictable when he takes on the line, not fast, not agile. The guy simply is not cut out for first grade. Trust the Warriors to sign this merkin.
Vatuvei- 5. Lets the team down so often. Does amazing things like run the ball out from our 20 with venom, bomb it to Manu and he catchs it and scores. But still after all these years in first grade he has not learned ball security, he drops it so often when the game is on the line, he is targeted by the opposition on defense because he cant turn quickly and is often to far in off his wing and gets run around. Manu should be a forward, no doubt about it but we are convinced he is a winger so he remains there to the Warriors detriment.
Vete. 7.5 He's developing well, putting his big frame on the line. Id like to see him get bit more explosive but cant knock his efforts this year
Wright- 5. He really does try his best but he should be playing 3 -4 games max a season. If he is playing first grade then your team probably is probably not a finals team.

Cappy -1 Out of his depth completely, his after-match interviews are heartbreaking for long time warriors fans because he comes across like a limp dicked video game player coaching a playstation team rather than a bonafide NRL coach.Baffling interchange selections, in and out players not injury based, inconsistant justifications, pretends weare not doing that bad to perhaps I made some mistakes. Woeful woeful woeful.

Iro - 1 How many years has this guy been a brides-made coach for? How many of those have been woeful woeful woeful? - Its not working warriors, its just not working.

Doyle - 4 Based on the signings of RTS and Luke. The club has actually got worse under Doyle and descended into a joke and more fans than ever have lost faith in the Warriors. Certainly paying the price for previous administration, one thing is clear, Jim is not a people motivator, he is a process man because nobody in the organization raised their game for him. Even the prized RTS claimed in an Australian newspaper he was moving to NZ to eventually follow his dream to become an All Black. The kid is embarrassed to be coming here. Work your magic Doyle, work your magic buddy because this could be your legacy killer!

Warriors Fans - 9 For keeping the faith for so long and still going to the games, still talking about the team on the forums, still arguing and bickering among ourselves over our warriors opinions. I think it is fair to say we lost our faith but that is a good thing because we will demand the club we deserve now, and for once if they don't deliver next season then they will have zero good faith protection left and ship will truly sink. This is D-Day for the Warriors -2016

Mannering- 8. Just a quality player, delivers a great effort every week - no problems with him as captain imo

Faitala-Marriner- 7 Best of the rookies imo, really looks the goods - hope we are keeping him

Friend - 7 should have been starting hooker all year, imo - not great, but the best we have

Gubb- 5.5 - Lunatic... hopefully he can control that part, love the effort

Havili- 2 just disappointing imo - as with many (including Friend) used strangely by coach

Hoffman- 8. Quality all round

Hurrell- 3 - I dunno what to make of him - his own worst enemy,

Ikahihifo- 4 Had one string game, I think, then dropped... but disappointing.

Johnson- 6.5. I know we fell over without him, but we weren't much good with him either.

Kata- 5. Can only give him a 5 because his defence is a 0

Leuluai- 5 Did exactly what you'd expect of him when he was fit

Lillyman- 8. Not enough love - started slowly, but unlike Johnson it was because of surgery and only lasted about 2 weeks - just strong

Lisone- 6. decent first season

Lolohea- 7.5- Better at fullback than Tompkins imo - would play him at centre next year, and unless we have a new signing TL at 6

Lousi- 2. An enigma

Matulino- 9 - Great season, no question

Maumolo- 4 - One for the future, not on the wing imo.

Peyroux. 3 - Tries hard, but not quite up to it.

Thompson. 7.5. Good season

Tomkins. 5 - meh, ok, but expectations much higher

Townsend. 6.5 I think he's generally been good, had some poor games for sure, but ok at 6

Vatuvei- 7. He's go forward really helps

Vete. 7 - With RFM big surprise for me - a few mistakes, but very promising

Wright- 6. Did exactly what was expected, reliable and unspectacular - but not often a liability like some

Cappy - 3 - I am over him - not up to it near as I can tell, strange selections, strange in game use of interchange, no clear game plans, but a savvy media presence...

Mannering 7.5 - Solid as always. Did have a bit of a rough patch there, presumably he was playing injured/sick?

Faitala-Mariner 7 - Extremely promising, if still rough around the edges. Fix his 1% defensive stuff and (particularly) his hands, and he'll be a world beater. We had better bloody not let him go.

Friend 6 - Perhaps his best year with us - not surprisingly he got better when asked to play less minutes. His defensive 'presence' will not be missed, though.

Gubb 5.5 - Love his enthusiasm/energy, and he does appear to have improved his game from last year. One or two less silly penalties would be nice, though.

Havili 6 - Struggled with this one, seemed to be disadvantaged by a number of factors. Bizarrely hated by some here, I know, but ended up with a linebreak and 3 assists in 174 minutes on the park. On the other side of things, his previously excellent defence declined somewhat.

Hoffman 6.5 - Started brilliantly, declined slightly then lost a bunch of games to Origin (and injury sustained in Origin). Solid signing, I'm expecting better next year though.

Hurrell 4.5 - I don't know how to call this. He seemed to be completely f'd over by his coach - playing him off the bench at the end of the season, rarely getting a sustained run of games for a variety of reasons. His defence (outside of 2 or 3 early shockers) actually looked to have improved a bit. Shame we couldn't see more of him.

Ikahihifo 2.5 - Frustratingly bad. Could be an amazing player, likely now at another club.

Johnson 8.5 - A very good season from a player who keeps getting better. His injury was a real shame.

Kata 5.5 - 16 games in he would have got a 7. He's lucky to only drop to a 6, his rating a little boosted by the fact that it's not his fault he played every game in his rookie season. Started as a decent defender, but that completely eroded at the back end (as did much of his running game). Needs to learn to draw and pass. Or just pass.

Leuluai 6 - Slightly better than Friend when he played, but injury struck.

Lillyman 7.5 - Solid. Gets through his work, puts up the numbers and lays the platform well for the rest of the team. Shame they couldn't take advantage.

Lisone 5.5 - Started VERY promisingly, stagnated a tiny bit and spent a few games in NSW cup mid-season. I'm still very excited for him moving forward.

Lolohea 7 - Very good player. He likely will end up at 6 (since we don't seem to have the vision to sign Cornish and use Lolo as a ball playing back), but it's a world of difference playing with SJ than end-of-2015-Chad. He even looked better playing with Lino. Will go close (but not win) for rookie of the year.

Lousi 2 - Bit of a nothing player. Big, actually has some speed when he wants to (rarely/never) - or he used to, at least. Doesn't contribute much, and one good game aside did nothing to stake his claim when called upon.

Matulino 9 - Our best, and one of the best forwards in the game. Doesn't get nearly enough credit from (particularly Aus) media. JWH hasn't got a bloody hope of making a full strength Kiwis side.

Maumalo 1 - Terrible. Brought nothing but a strong carry out of our half, with plenty of errors, no finishing ability and no defensive ability. Plenty of work to do.

Peyroux 2.5 - Like Lousi, a bit of a nothing player. Usually ok defensively, but let in a few softies in the red zone this year. Provided little/nothing going the other way.

Thompson 8 - Our best after Matulino & SJ. Great buy, proved the better of our two new edge forwards in his first year.

Tomkins 3 - Almost half the season injured, and his contribution in attack dwindled rapidly after his first 2-3 games back. Very bad this year.

Townsend 5 - He gets about a 9 for his first half of the year, and a 1 for his second half.

Vatuvei 6.5 - 11 tries in 16 games playing outside Kata. Says it all, really.

Vete 7.5 - Started well and got better. Great to have some extra size with real quality up front.

Wright 5.5 - Solid for the most part, so proved useful for us.

Cappy 3.5 - I'm really worried about his selections and thought processes when sorting the team. The coaching staff in general don't seem to be doing a good job helping players develop and fix areas of their game.

Of the guys who played but less than the 7 - Fusitua looked very good again, hope he can put together a season without significant injury worries. Allwood was a weird one- presumably a Cappy signing who was then promptly ignored.. made stranger by the fact that he's looked pretty decent in the 3 games he eventually got. Lino looked like a decent option as a backup half. Fisiahii.. I'm glad he's leaving. Nothing but speed, and continually unavailable. Rapira- disappointing wind down to his Warriors career. Shame about Henry getting another injury, but RFM looks a better prospect.

Mannering- 7. As a player busts his balls for us but loses a mark as he isn't the right leader for this group sadly.
Faitala-Marriner- 7. Really promising, dropping him was idiotic unless it was an off field issue.
Friend- 7. Solid performances and gets an extra point for effort and consistency
Gubb- 4. Just a moron. Undoes any good work he does with the rocks in his head.
Havili- 3. Yes he was used strangely, but when he got on the park he just phoned it in. He's better than that.
Hoffman- 8. He's the key to next season other than perhaps SJ
Hurrell- 5. Really odd because he looks near his best at times, but has clearly got under McF's skin
Ikahihifo- 4. Had a chance to shine with so many injuries but never got going. He's better than this.
Johnson- 8. Another rubbish start but then delivered his best form of his Warriors career.
Kata- 5. Typical Warriors rookie season, if he sorts out his D he could be something.
Leuluai- 5. Disappointing, didn't really offer anything during his brief time.
Lillyman- 8. A genuine class prop who has a simple job and does it brilliantly.
Lisone- 6. Lots of promise but as mentioned tapered away.
Lolohea- 8. Gets an extra point for not disgracing himself anywhere despite being thrown around. Earned himself a top spot.
Lousi- 2. He's copping a lot of flak, he was serviceable and solid in the past. This year though... wtf
Matulino- 8. One of the leading players in the NRL when he's going, dropped off a bit but came back.
Maumolo- 3. Lot's of hype but way out of his league.
Peyroux- 4. Bit of a nothing player, used to defend him for his lack of chances but he got plenty this time.
Thompson- 7. Good solid contributor, if you aren't a star you should be this at least.
Tomkins- 6. Showed his best stuff in a fleeting glimpse at the start, then the injury, then the usual bits and pieces with nothing special.
Townsend- 6. Was brilliant alongside SJ but totally lost the plot when asked to lead.
Vatuvei- 7. Was his usual self, hopefully he's right next season.
Vete. 8. The real deal, alongside Lohohea they're the two rookies that have made an impact
Wright- 6. Cops it royally here, but for a limited player he didn't do much wrong.

So according to me that's 9 out of 24 guys rated 5 or below.
More than a third of that roster was crap, and a lot of them were on the field at once.

Of the rest...

Rapira deserved a much better farewell than this, and looked good the brief couple of times he was on the park.
We're going to miss Laumape.
We're not going to miss Matagi who had classic second year syndrome.
Fish can f*ck off, got plenty of chances despite injuries and didn't look interested.
Allwood looked fine, should have got more.

Agree with most of you in general other than Lion, some of those are wtf

Mannering- 7. Non stop effort, even when crook. Maybe not an onfield captain.
Faitala-Marriner- 6. Promising, but must sort out his hands
Friend- 6. Never really let us down, but his passing looked very laboured
Gubb- 5. Not scared of the rough stuff. Just needs to find the time and place for it...but gave his all.
Havili- 3. I stopped rating him highly after watching him in reserve grade. Not really enough time this year for me to form an opinion
Hoffman- 8. All professional, all class certainly didnt arrive for the gravy train
Hurrell- 5. Regressed this year BIG
Ikahihifo- 4. Never really rated him, one very good game. The rest just hohum. Certainly not a prop.
Johnson- 7. Injury killed him, worldbeater one day...bystander the next
Kata-6. I think he can call himself a bit hard done by. Was never meant to play a full season, a rookie that ended up being the scapegoat for woeful defence. The guy was meant to be teamed up Manu Townsend and Hoffman, ended up being the only note of continuity on that side...
Leuluai- 5. Couldnt see him as any better than friend
Lillyman- 7. Keeps chugging it up and making the tackles.
Lisone- 6. Lots of promise but another who got exposed the longer the more games he played.
Lolohea- 8. For me has to share rookie of the year. Performed every role with elan and never looked out of place in any of them.
Lousi- 2. Waste of benchspace there
Matulino- 7. Consistant, and looking much better with the offload back in his arsenal. I for one loved the shoulder charge he got suspended for
Maumolo- 3.Needs a lot more developing in reserve grade.
Peyroux- 3. Was getting rotated because of defence superior to Hurrel uneder Elliot. No attacking game to speak, and defence that was at best shocking.
Thompson- 7. Contributes all game. Love his lines that he runs
Tomkins- 4. Get some decent effing sprigs.Sure he contributes as a ball player, and put his body on the line...but not the explosive pace that a B should have. I can not recall one linebreak from a kick return.
Townsend- 6. Was brilliant alongside SJ but totally lost the plot when asked to lead.
Vatuvei- 6. Scored the tries, got us good field position...but we should expect that
Vete. 8. My other pick for sharing rookie of the year. Just got better and better as the season progressed. Strong, tireless and a quick learner
Wright- 6. Would be interesting to see him wind up in open space. I think we bag him on reputation. ONly really the one glaring error all season, but looked better than the rookie wingers we had all season.

Mannering - 7. Not his best year but still very good, can excuse him with the amount of energy he's had to expend and the mental load he carries. Needs strong leaders around him to get the best out of him and he doesn't have this. Still, we'd be royally f**ked without him. Didn't get to show his attacking skills as much as we'd like due to his work load.
RFM - 6.5. Can't give him a 7 but deserves a good pass mark based on heart and the way he carries the ball time and again. It'll be completely f**ked if he leaves. Where are the sources that say he is?
Friend - 6.5. Was easily a 7 during our mid-year stretch but has tailed off. Always very very good behind our pack when we held at least parity. Deserves to be remembered as a supremely dedicated Warrior.
Gubb - 5. Just scrapes a pass for intensity but shouldn't be let near our side next year if he doesn't channel it. Can't afford him and Issac trading weeks off. Talented kid when he matures
Havili - 3. Hard to know with this guy but just can't shake the feeling he could've been good for us if he wanted to be. Will not be missed
Hoffmann - 7. Might be slightly high but he did give every inch of himself when on field. The charge down v the Sharks exemplified who this guy is. Needs to step up even further in leadership in 2016
Hurrell - 4. I blame the coach as much as Konrad for this. Almost deserves its own thread, the ongoing mismanagement between Konrad and the coach
Ika - 3. Lazy. No doubt used incorrectly as a prop but it makes me sick watching a big guy like him pushed back by smaller blokes. May make it somewhere else but will have to lift big time
Johnson - 7. Again, used incorrectly early on (theme happening here) when Chad was getting more ball than him. But was absolutely scintillating through the middle of the year, including one of his best v an in-form Storm side. Even the act he got injured in v Manly was awe-inspiring. And is already back training hard. This guy is a pro.
Kata - 6. Gets a point for persistence and heart. AGAIN, should never have been used all season. Has huge defensive frailties that haven't rectified and we're led to believe he works very hard, so dunno what is happening. Very likely to be our centre again in 2016 so hopefully it's an educational off-season
Leuluai - ? I don't even remember back that far. Will be needed in 2016
Lillyman - 6.5. Consistent, which is what we always sorely need in the middle.
Lisone - 6. Has heart, very raw. I actually think he was used pretty decently this year so shouldn't be burnt out into next season - should be hungry
Lolo - 7.5. Incredible really, the way he's adapted to the NRL, played so many positions and made a good fist of all of them. Such a special talent. Really hope he is developed as our centre. Great kid.
Lousi - 1. Honestly, why would I give him 2? Mud.
Matulino - 8. Beast. Only criticism is he's not the leader he should be, or so it looks from the outside. My POTY
Maumalo - 4. This is one I got wrong. I like him but he is a shocking, shocking defender. Definitely not ready for FG yet.
Peyroux - 2. Just scrapes past Lousi. Useless. It belies belief that he has been on the team sheet in the last few weeks, I cannot fathom why.
Thompson - 7.5. Arguably our best buy, given Hoffman missed a few matches. Runs incredibly good lines and hard. Looking forward to him and SJ finding their combination earlier next season.
Tomkins - 4. Not necessarily his fault but had a stinking 2015 for a number of reasons. Lolo would've been a better option all year.
Townsend - 6. Would've been at 7 at the start of the year and is lucky to get 6 now. Probably tried too hard when SJ went down. But we shouldn't forget he shouldered a lot of the load early season and had SJ/Cronk-esque TA/LBA numbers.
Vatuvei - 6. Tough for the big man to get going this year, but still the potent finisher he's always been. Still the beating heart of our club.
Vete - 6.5. I thought about higher but at this stage his defensive frailties don't allow it. Got massive hopes for this guy. Not scared of anyone
Wright - 4.5. Sorry, but this guy is not a plodder on reputation alone. Had a couple of good games v inexperienced wingers, but go over the games when he marked up on classy wingers ie Koroibete, Rona etc. It scares me that he may be our first-choice winger in 2016, it truly does. I will say that at times he made me think 'ok, he's not such a bad fall-back option' which is all he should be.

Opinions, arseholes and all...

But JJ, how can we find a place in our side for a guy who averages 120m per game and 25+ tackles? What could a guy who has played through a Maroons dynasty have to offer experience wise? I mean, who wants consistency at the Warriors? Boring?

Mannering- 8 - he kept performing, week in week out
Faitala-Marriner- 3 - got the body of a roid driven 1980s pro wrassler, couldn't defend to save himself and Phar Lap has better hands.
Friend- 6 - came alive when his contract clearly wasn't going to be what he wanted it to be. Before that he was awesome in defence but horrid in attack.
Gubb- 5. Limited game time, brought enthusiasm.
Havili- 3 - not up to it
Hoffman- 8 - professional week in week out
Hurrell- 4 - needs to get his head cleared and focus on the task at hand
Ikahihifo- 5 - can't believe he was dropped after the Titans game, when he finally got game time in the front row v Roosters he was very very strong.
Johnson- 6 - everyone seems to be blinded by the last month, before that he was barely visible on the paddock with the way McFadden had him playing one side of the ruck.
Kata- 6 - similarly, recency bias is plaguing people's views on Sol. No way do any of us expect him to play every game. Some probably tip him to play 3-4 games, let alone 24. First half of the year his attack was awesome. Clearly struggled week to week from then on. Huge promise.
Leuluai- 7 - was aggressive defensively and seemed to want to run when Friend seemed not to be interested earlier in the year
Lillyman- 7 - tradesmanlike, I can't believe this far into his career he doesn't have an offload
Lisone- 6. Real talent, ran out of steam at the end
Lolohea- 7 - middle of the year he struggled, start of the year awesome, and for a guy shunted from position to position he did really well
Lousi- 3 - this big lug will never amount to anything. I'm shocked so many see potential, or have seen potential. He's always had the leg speed of a one legged trapeze artist.
Matulino- 7.5 - he is the core of our go forward momentum, but that shoulder charge was crazy stuff
Maumolo- 4 - still believe he has raw potential. Has come a long way in 12 months. Needs to improve his handling and finishing.
Peyroux. 2 - dependable, reliable... bull. Players who aren't flashy often get labelled like this, but frankly, he lacks core skills and raw athleticism and was found out immensely.
Thompson. 7 - always worked his backside off
Tomkins. 1.5 - absolute joke, if you look at value for money he's a -505000505924 out of 10. Bloke is a fraud. Doesn't look he has ever done a bench press, and certainly doesn't care about wearing boots that mean he doesn't slip every two seconds.
Townsend. 5.5 - first half of the year was good, he checked out early with everyone happening at home
Vatuvei- 5 - while he finishes well, it is now becoming somewhat of a joke that he hasn't learned to hold the football in basic contact, or, hold his line in defence.
Vete. 6.5 - going places this fellow. Put in a big shift all year and started to develop a good offload.
Wright- 4 - I just don't get it. He's average.

I've whacked the numbers together with the following average scores:

Matulino 8
Lolo 7.5
Hoffmann 7.45
Mannering 7.35
Vete 7.35
Johnson 7.35
Thompson 7.2
Lillyman 6.9
RFM 6.35
Friend 6.35
Vatuvei 6.15
Lisone 5.95
Kata 5.75
Wright 5.2
Gubb 5.2
Townsend 5.15
Leuluai 4.9
Hurrell 3.95
Tomkins 3.75
Ika 3.75
Maumalo 3.5
Havili 3.1
Peyroux 2.85
Lousi 2.2
Avg 5.5

Notes:
Matulino player of the year by a decent margin.
Gave Leuluai a 5 in the N/A cases, so his mark could be a red herring
Lillyman (by Lion) and Tomkins got some harsh treatment
Average of averages at 5.5 shows clearly that our roster performed terribly
If you consider 6 a 'passing' mark (as I do anyway), only 11 out of 24 achieved this

Interesting.

I agree Matulino was our player of the year.
I think Lolohea is ranked higher than he should be. Talented kid, but above Hoffman and Mannering?

Out of interest, on the 3-2-1 ratings, Matulino scored in 22 games, Mannering 21, Hoffman and Lolohea 14. Totals for the year: Matulino 29.24, Mannering 16.2, Hoffman 11.82 and Lolohea 6.58.

I will PM you the 3-2-1 spreadsheet.

Matulino 8 ... Good season
Lolo 7 ... played well in all positions in backline but excels at FB & centre
Hoffmann 7
Mannering 7
Vete 7
Johnson 7.5 ... before being injured was heading for a 9 rating
Thompson 7 ... Did well with attack improving throughout year. When fatigued makes defensive mistakes
Lillyman 6 ... best game of the year was SOO #3
RFM 5.5 .. will go well at the Dogs next year
Friend 5.5 ... a good guy but this club needs a #9 to provide drive and leadership
Vatuvei 6 ... missed his go fwd
Lisone 6
Kata 6 ... Aussies still rate him despite defensive issues
Wright 5
Gubb 5
Townsend 5.5
Hurrell 4
Tomkins 5.5 ... did well before the injury
Ika 3.5
Maumalo 3
Havili 3
Peyroux 3
Lousi 2.5

Coaches: 5 ... injuries not helped but still continued to pick the same type of team during the 8 game losing streak. Cappy has had the team for 1.5 years and they've not improved since Elliot. The failure to address Kata's defensive issues was a concern together with the inability to get Konrad motivated and playing well.

Recruitment (past so excludes RTS and Luke pick ups) : 2 ... Thompson and Hoffman (needs an injury free season - give up SOO) were good pick ups but no real depth was the biggest killer in 2015. Too much reliance on local players not up to regular 1st grade standard.
