I hastily suggest because of our precarious position on the table we should be adventurous with our selections, Rav for example may not be polished but as OT suggests has potential. Safer options IMO aren’t gunna get the job done, Dufty and Field along with the young forwards fall into this category. Whatever eventuates this year I’m happy to see some youth coming through

Frank , we have players such as Trimm, Kerr , Pearson &Field who deserve a t least a go in the NRL to see how they perform and they should be way ahead of Masters & Maranta in the peaking order. Both are slow and in Masters case an abysmal defender. He should be told that he won't get a chance until he fixes it.If defense is 90% attitude than obviously his is bad.He is just great with the ball in hand though.

Mate, you're picking blokes you've never seen play. Even Mary knows what the reserve graders looks like.

Field at left centre would provide us with Roberts type speed. He would have a much better passing game than Roberts. The more I think about the idea of Field at left centre, the more I would like to see how it would go.

Marsters is another one who could step up and take the left centre spot. I would be even interested to see him get a run on one of the wings this year.

Obviously not an idea that super coach would agree with but you have my vote

In most instances, Tyson runs into the middle and dies with the ball. I would like to see him run straight and as hard as possible and certainly not from a standing start. I am sure that he would make more ground and if he can practice his passing game, we might see him give the outside backs room to score tries.

It is better to keep Rava on the wing and not in the centres at this stage rather than to create further issues. Just like Semi did for the Eels - get early ball and make a hard run with Dufty backing up to score! This I would love to see.

Players from the Raiders and Panthers have been rewarded for their efforts with a healthy representation in the NRL Team of the Week for Round 13.

Impressive fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad joins fellow Raiders Bailey Simonsson, Jarrod Croker and John Bateman as the four men chosen by fans.

Penrith - a team on the improve - had three players named. Origin hopefuls James Maloney and Reagan Campbell-Gillard are joined by powerhouse back-rower Viliame Kikau.

Other players of note to have been selected include impressive Fijian pair Daniel Saifiti (Knights) and Mikaele Ravalawa (Dragons).

The dust has settled from the Dragons convincing 36-12 over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs but the highlights reel continues to float around.

Now it's time to vote for your favourite moment from the drought-breaking victory in the play of the week!

Option A: After spending some time in the Canterbury Cup, Mikaele Ravalawa stormed back into the top grade with a scintillating double. The first came off the skillful passing of Ben Hunt who floated a pass onto the chest of Ravalawa with the in-goal wide open in front of him. But the second required a special put down that stunned onlookers. Under immense pressure, Ravalawa lept into the air before planting the ball down in the corner in a brilliant acrobatic effort.

Option B: Another returning player took centre stage in this long-range effort. Started by Corey Norman in the centre of the field, a long pass found Zac Lomax who again offloaded to Ravalawa needing no invitation to chew up 30 metres downfield. Ravalawa then fired a pin-point pass back inside to Corey Norman in support who sprinted toward the line.

Option C: Ben Hunt puts Jacob Host into space behind the Dogs' line but instead of throwing a wild pass, Host puts the ball on his foot with Zac Lomax and Matt Dufty in hot pursuit. The ball bounces off the Bulldogs fullback and into the hands of Zac Lomax who cruised over to put the result beyond doubt late in the second half.

weaknesses in his game
poor in the air, not a genuine speedster

junior footy
playing a game built around keeping the ball alive and creating 2 on 1 opportunities to exploit

His CV says centre, his experience at the moment is wing.

The reason to move Rava from the wing, is because he is terrible under the high ball. The other reason for moving him from the wing, is because he may make a better centre.

1st year in 1st grade, good coaching and off season can improve that, Give that time. D Tupou had problems in his early days defending but could leap. You were wrong about BMoz..or were you. Never know but he did alright where he played on the wing

Plenty of wingers with that CV..and that is why he has never played centre yet cause suited to wing ATM..he can get better in the air with more practice in off season and help from his supports
and we are told and yet to be proven he is a genuine speedster?

Ravalawa is a fourth option at best as a centre. Something you try in NSW Cup or a shit team running last with nothing to lose.

We're pretty bad but not there yet.

The guy has talent but moving him to the centres is not the answer. Should just be looking to get him more involved in general, maybe start with more of a roaming commission.
