His form has been down ever since he Re-signed... Coincidental more than likely but I wonder if mentally he's as switched on as he should be. Let's not forget he has been at 4 clubs in the space of 5 years. Players who are focused and up for it every week tend not to shuffle in and out of teams like that...
His form is down because he is playing the same attacking moves as he has all year. All decent opposition coaches will have that pegged by now and be ready for it. Bradley needs to think up a new bag of tricks down that side.

Being complacent isn't something players choose. It's a reaction to the reality of playing a weak or understrength side. I was hoping all the players we had out would have made us wake up to ourselves but it wasn't to be. By the time we switched back on there was scoreboard pressure and our young spine shat themselves, with the exception of Gutherson who was again superb.

Its not a conscious choice but you play the way you prepare. Storm never play a game like that because they decide not to. They don't accept slacking off. Again coach Arthur set the tone by essentially resting players. That was a rookie mistake.

I don't know why our offloads were down - that's maybe a sign of being physically dominated or a lack of intensity. Hopefully it isnt a sign that the opposition have worked us out.

Yep, our attack was similar to previous weeks without Moses but defence got us home. But tonight it was extremely poor for 15 mins.....

Overall our attack was way off in my opinion. It was good for maybe 30 minutes of the second half.

It’s probably been said but Reg played 80 mins at full intensity.

NRL.com has him at

28 runs
297 m
47 tackles

He made up for Gower and Steffano who only played 11 minutes each.

I love David Gower - he is a true gentleman, and a great servant to this great club -, but he looked off the pace to me.

Utoikamanu looked a little pedestrian - slow, not particularly strong, or aggressive...I think we made the right call keeping Kaufusi over him. Mind you - I don't want to have a go at him; I know he's a rookie. But I would have expected more of a presence from him last night.

And RCG is simply not human - I hope games like last night demonstrate why I say he is probably more vital to us than Junior...he was unbelievable last night.

Without a doubt, Will Smith would have done a better job than Field and Dylan shat his pants. Poor merkin felt responsible and in the second half tried to do an 09 Hayne on every touch. Love to know the stat on “tackled with ball”.

I agree.

Will Smith [deservedly] cops a lot of criticism, but at least he tries to contribute in attack.

He also has far more experience than Field.

He would have been better in the 7 than Field, imo.

Field is talented - he just needs to increase his involvement.

Matterson has a broken thumb which is in a splint. Fergo had 50ml of fluid drained from his knee during the week and may not even be right next week. So who were the players he rested for no reason?

Storm never play badly? Gee you have a short memory. They were pumped by an under strength Raiders side in round three in which they had 55% possession and completed at 68%.

BA said himself they could both have played but rested them because of the short turn around.

If we were being physically dominated, our pack would not have made the meters it made.

We outran manly by almost 800m, a good deal of that through the middle, you don't do that if you're being dominated.
