Deadset... Matt Russell in the call of the Raiders Souffs match... Says "even though he played 33 minutes of the 1st half, Josh Papali is coming back on now for the Raiders"...

There's only 23 to go. The merkin has had a half an hour break...

On-field Ref: "Please check on-side and grounding"
Bunker: "Left side players are on-side. Player X get clean possession and grounds the ball in the in-goal area. We have a decision."
On-field Ref: "Try"

Opposing Captain: "Challenge please ref"
On-field Ref: "Challenge of bunker call regarding grounding"
Bunker: "We made a decision already so f**k off!!"
Ok then stick with your broken system.
Good credibility there

I am not suggesting that it works and there is definitely a credibility issue when they get it wrong, but tell me how you think it could be done?
Do we implement a second bunker that checks the first one's decisions?
You were the one who said there needs to be a challenge of the bunkers decisions made possible - how do you see it working?

Pretty easy.
If a player is adamant just like dufty was and it was clear as fkn day and like rapana last week despite it not being a bunker f up then they should have the opportunity to challenge.
Who knows what they were looking at.
The decision is not right. If a captain's challenge is available they should be able exercise that option. End of section.
It may actually make them think WTF and they then take more care and responsibility in their decision..they are seeing on the screen what the players are seeing. If players, crowd, tv audience can see so should they.

We need an alternate bunker for second opinions .... they will spend 99% of their time sitting around eating KFC, but meh

Not sure why its so hard to comprehend that if u have an available challenge then u have the right to exercise that option. On field ref or bunker. It will take an extra 1-2 mins. Rather have that and improve the integrity of the game than sacking officials afterwards.
It would be probably 1 in 100 a video ref decision is challenged anyway due to either having exhausted a challenge or decision was clearly right.
Remember you get it wrong no more challenges...

Who's gonna make the ruling for the challenge againast the video referee's decision? ... do you think they will take a second look and go, oops? ... maybe? maybe not

They will think what a bunch of fkn idiots or shit they must see something we haven't seen. The ref can let them know what they are challenging..eg Video, Dufty is challenging the grounding. He states he grounded it first...

I'm watching the Dogs and Knights match, and seeing Lewis almost take an air swing when trying to kick the goal-line drop-out (in horrible, wet conditions) has raised a question:

If you are taking a goal-line, drop-out, and you mistime your swing, and knock the ball on, what happens?

Another goal-line drop-out, seeing as you knocked on in the goal area?

A turnover?

A penalty?

Anyone know what would happen?

Newcastle are going backwards. I reckon a lucky win ahainst Manly without Turbo a draw against Penrith without Cleary and Edwards and very lucky to not lose last week to Souths.
They have a very soft draw on home stretch but still will struggle to make 8

Tits 30% possession with 50% completions. Early days, but they’d want to turn that around quickly or they’ll be 18 down before they know it.
