Getting worried about the Huth tbh his days of being the king of effective plod look numbered. He’s now halfway to Yeo.

He is another example of getting the best out of our players. Our individual training and overall fitness regime’s are crazy good at the moment.
We seem to have managed to simplify everyone’s job but keep their strengths. It’s most notable in the forwards, apart from Spencer ( not sure what happened to him ) every forward including salmon looked like a rep player.

Really? I thought it was one of his best games. Defensively he’s ridiculously consistent.

Mostly in attack, with the rest of the boys there he slots in almost seamlessly

Kikau and Korisau are huge losses. The alternative would of alternative was to give up one of the kids. Crichton or Luai perhaps. Kikau is in great form. How long will it past? I don't see 4yrs of it. The Dogs will get two good year from him imo.
Korisau is most important. Penrith wins due to defense crushing sides. Kikau is an ok defender but there are better ones around. So if keeping teams to 12 points a game I am sure you will still evolve your attack enough to win games.

Players age and go downhill fast. 800k for Kikau is fine for his current form.But he won't stay in this purple patch forever.

Because his hit ups were obviously better than anyone else's on the field for those 29 minutes. Ivan using him for just the opening stint was more stupid bullshit.

Smith had couple of tackle breaks, some stinging defence, a easy try. The showcasing of potential was what last night was about from the players not getting any first grade time.
They all did well.
I have to admit Salmon has improved a great deal, I just believe he hasn’t been good enough to lock down the permanent first grade spot, he has proved to be “solid”, he was good last night.

We are replacing 2 of our most dynamic players next year with pretty average. We obviously have the team structures in place to get the best out of people but you can’t replace what kikau and api bring to the team with average and not expect problems.
We have just hired Garner who is once again not flashy or dominating in any way, Kenny is average , Smith looks just as “solid “ as Salmon on less game time, that’s why I think people are a bit excited by his performance.
I would like to see Salmons role rotated with in players showing a lot of potential like Riki.
We have proven we can get results out of solid players, I just think we can get a bit more out of “ talented” players coming through

Its irrelevant. The kid should have been brought on with 10 to go in the first half when we were cruising. Ideal time when we were on top, it’s when he does his best work. Put whatever spin on it you want, but it is just BS, he’s another to be going out the exit door and frankly I can’t blame the kid if he does. I feel gutted for him.
