I’m also a fan but when he came on Kenny was actually doing really well at engaging the markers and then passing on. Luke does have a bit more guile about where the ball is going to go, but his timing just doesn’t feel quite right.

It's the team just isn't adjusting to Luke's style of play.

Soni plays so much flatter than Kenny.

Kenny goes put the back and gives his playmakers time.

Soni likes to play at the line and drag in defenders.

Ivan's trying to use to completely different styles of hookers and the team just can't adjust on the fly... especially when the majority of our games this year gave been close..

Anyone with half a brain can see soni has craftiness.. it's on Ivan to get it gelling.

How long can you Luke fans push this excuse? He's not playing well and he's not in our best 17

It in Ivan to put out a team that can win the game. One players performance is a contributor, but not the main goal.

I’d argue it is probably on Luke (and the coaching team) to evolve his game to fit into the wider team structure more effectively than the team to switch the way it is playing mid game to play to his strengths.

having said that I do think he will make it, but he needs to learn he can’t do it all on his own.

If a coach that has made the last 3 gfs is picking him in the 17 I'm thinking he has more idea than smug.

It isn't really an excuse... it's just a fact.. Kenny plays a different way to Luke and the team just isn't adjusting. They are completely different styles of 9s... surely even you can see that..

The fact it isn't gelling is a coaching issue..

Luke and Kenny have a lot to work on but so does Ivan and the team...

If they can get it working it will be a great combo as teams will have to adjust their defence on the fly to a different style..

Right now Luke is trying to not play his natural game... or at least he isn't getting blokes running on to him to play his natural game as they aren't switching styles when he gets on...

We've become predictable in attack yo an extent..

I'm the team learns to adjust on the fly to Luke's style than man it will make it hard for the other sides.
