I really like Luke but there is a pattern forming of the team dropping off when he comes on for whatever reason.

That is was my point earlier in the week, Not sure we can play 2 hookers

that spot works better with someone that can play the edge

Resting players was always the safe and responsible option. We lost Nathan for 6 weeks making him back up from game one

Rather risk 2 points than the blokes we need to win a premiership. Extra game time for fringe guys helps too.

This 17 works if when Leota or Fish go off. Luke comes on and stays on.

That way Kenny is playing as the 4th middle

It was a good win. Team selected got it done, wasn’t as close as the score suggests, they had the game in hand all the way. Peachey had a very good game.

Good win without the Origin players and Peach redeemed himself from last week. I admit I was nervous with the players out but the Knights were mostly ordinary against our strong defence.

Yeah mate there was probs 2 or 3 on this forum along with myself that wanted soro at 2nd row now it's just assumed he'll play 80 at 2nd row by all...

Like Martin he does his best work in stints.

Salmon is the hia cover guy. He covers the backs and the half's forwards and 9 at a real pinch.

Kenny can play 80 at 9 no doubt but the team will be a much better attacking team if they can adjust to Luke's to style on the fly..

It will make it so hard for defensive Lines to adjust..

And therein lies the issue... can't be worried about hit's if you aren't ever gunna win the big games in the first place...

If we were travelling as good as last year than sure you can risk taking a guy on the bench as pure hia cover bit this year no way...

All the bench players need to fill a role..

Soni is finding his feet and its on Ivan and the spine to get it happening. He offers something the team needs and that's a real difference to how we've played the last 3.5 years.

I still would not pick Luke or Peachey barring a very unlikely severe injury situation. I don’t trust Peachey, he’ll be back to his old self next chance. Luke just doesn’t have the dummy half service. Salmon is limited but proven to be able to do a job and never be responsible for losing a game in whatever role he’s handed. Cogger, well unfortunately at this stage of his career he’s well and truly a cup player and hopefully we won’t have to call on him in a sudden death.

Edge forward gets HIA, You are forced to play Salmon early. Just to have a hooker there who may or may not get decent time

There is only 8 interchanges.

Starting props off then back on

There is 4.

You want Martin in stints there is 2.

Luke can come on and not come off.

So you have one left incase of injury.

There is the issue atm, Last year Api was staying on so it was only a single interchange.

Tonight Luke comes on with 30 mins left - should of been able to play that out.

Still had to burn a change to get him off
