There are plenty of bad players in the top 30 at clubs and Lumelume isn’t even top 30.I am referring to Martin. I never said he was considered high potential. However, the problem I have is that Lumelume is a bad player.
Limelume played for the Storm ffs. He played six NRL games in two years over there, including a finals match. At Parra he’s played only two games in just over one year. That’s backups for you.You don’t even need to fill the roster spots with bad players who are going to be a handicap every time you go into a match. Look at the Melbourne Storm. They sign plenty of nuffies but they get them to a standard which is not going to handicap the team at the very least. We have to be more judicious in who we sign as our fringe players.
I think it might be individually harder but I also know that the defensive responsibilities given to halves are based on their strengths, which are agility and decision making. So I suspect these are the ones who are hardest to replace without disrupting the defensive scheme.Do you think defending at five eighth is as difficult as defending at centre? I think centre is the hardest position on the field to defend so I don’t agree that Tuilagi defending slightly further in would have been as exploitable. That’s why you see plenty of backrowers with poor lateral movement defend at five eighth but they’re never placed in the centres.
Well we were paying $3 long before Simonsson went off. And the fact is their last two tries were scored without Tuilagi at centre. You and I both know it was a miracle that we were winning going into halftime. The territorial advantage was finally reflected at full time when we had a larger sample size of minutes.
He has done far more in reserve grade than Ethyn Martin as well. He played five games at centre last year and we won all of them. And like Lumelume he’s also played well enough in reserves to get picked in first grade. Martin isn’t even comparable, but hopefully one day he will be.This all from the same guy that gave us Jirah
The evidence shows that Cartwright was at least as bad. The coaching staff know what Hands can do because they’ve seen him at training. If he had been a defensive solution he would’ve gotten a run.Tago 6 line breaks, 250metres gain. Sure we would be 100% sure Hands would have been better but surely the evidence was there that kelma at centre was not rhe solution.

That merkin became the world’s highest paid centre the same week. I reckon he would have trampled a half back / hooker. Unless you think Hands is an exceptional defender.
To put Hands on, who would you have taken off ?

Miller-Phteven is another player who is better than Martin. Also turns 22 this year. And yes he is better than Lumelume, who is also better than Martin. It's not about the wins ffs
Fairly sure Lumelume was over looked for AMS last year for a first grade spot
They’re not that different. Teams train how they play.A game and training is two totally different things.
Without any evidence to the contrary you should assume Hands would’ve been worse. In a game scenario, kelma playing centre was a complete disaster.
Arthur is a smart player and makes the right decisions at that three in position. He has been defending there his entire career.Dylan played centre with JA at 5/8. Time for BA and his staff to re evaluate their assumptions

If you’re going to pump up Ethyn Martin you have no place criticising the likes of Lumelume and Momoisea. They have at least proven their ability in reserve grade.
If that were the case they would lose more than they win.As I have pointed out the club gets it wrong alot more than it gets it right with players unfortunately
When I tell you you're wrong for criticising a signing it doesn't mean I rate the player. It means clubs need a 30+ man squad and the cheapest ones are going to be ordinary. Don't f**ken whinge about it. Ethyn Martin is also ordinary but deadshits are talking him up deluxe after seeing him play well in Jersey Flegg. I guarantee nuffies like Momoisea and Lumelume also carved up in Flegg. Momoisea was signed from Melbourne's NYC squad to play Flegg for Newcastle. The year he turned 21 he played 20 games in reserve grade. The year Lumelume turned 21 he played 18 games across the NSW and QLD Cups. Martin turned 21 last year and hasn't played a single game in reserve grade.and your strike rate is just the worst on here

Martin might still score himself a couple of NRL appearances one day, maybe even a top 30 spot. But he wasn't playing reserve grade at 19 like Penisini, Russell or Talagi. He hadn't even played reserve grade by 21, which is what Momoisea and Lumelume achieved.
Intent or not, a rule is a rule.I don't think that's the intent of that rule. But Penrith definitely should've been penalised for the player waving his hand in Russell's face when he was trying to catch that bomb.
I don't think the person playing the ball can move forward before the ball is kicked either though. And it refers to chasers not the bloke playing the ball.
If he’s not involved in the kick chase, where’s the harm?I don't think the person playing the ball can move forward before the ball is kicked either though.
