Watene needs to go. He has been poor all year. He has made 1 run to Mansours 6 +. He has to many handling errors in him. He is to much of a main stay for to long bring in Jennings or Hall.

We are a bunch of individuals that need to spark for us to get anywhere - there is no real sense of cohesion or game plan. Yes, Griffin promotes youngsters, but I'll be damned if I can see him teach them anything.

A lot of individual errors at costly times stopped us getting into the first half and cost us at the end. Things were running fairly fine otherwise. Maybe our spacing at the back needs a look over, but maybe their kicking was just that good. Blake and Dallin need to get their timing right off Moylan's runs out the back, those flick ons should produce tries and were when Whare was fit. DWZ should be under pressure for his spot now. Was nothing wrong with Peach's flick on that they called forward.

But losing to the Warriors in NZ in extra time is probably par.

We finally get our defence right, the night we forget how to catch a ball. So frustrating.

When we held the ball, we looked like the more competent side, and a side that will trouble most teams.

I was (wrongly) confident we'd put 20 good mins together and get home but we played about half that. I still think we'll make the 8, but we're making it as difficult as possible on ourselves.

Now to sit back and watch all the same people point the finger at Griffin for the 10+ unforced errors we made...

Because there's no minutes left in the forwards to give to another player. And if there was it would be given to the bench forwards already playing minimal minutes because their form deserves it.

We always play poorly in the wet. Our hands are poor at the best of times and we can't seem to dial back the off loads and just tough it out through the middle. We didn't have a player as good as SJ on the field which was ultimately the difference.

On the positive side our defense was actually pretty good under pressure and there was only goal kicking in it really. I wish Yeo wasn't so unselfish for Mansours second. He was always in and it made Clearys kick about 10 meters more difficult. That's also our toughest remaining match on paper (although that really means nothing to us) so we should come home with a wet sail.

Panthers in a nutshell really. Amazing one week against a top team, then our own worst enemies the next week.
Glad we got back in it, especially with the amount of mistakes in the 1st half.
