Rd.6 v Broncos

So they should just concede defeat? What about next week against the Eels, are they allowed to try and win that one? What about the Titans in Rnd 8?

It's a process. Nothing changes overnight. Have a listen next time a coach (any coach, any sport) talks. They always say that they are focussed on themselves, and what they can do right. They can't control the opposition.

Playing Deardon with Croft in Rnd 6 might mean they have built up combinations to win Rnds 9 and 10 against the Cowboys and Sea Eagles.
I didn't say, or did I imply that.

Crichton will stay as FB as we are winning and our 1st choice FB isnt ready to come back into the squad.
But he shouldn't. If Edwards blew his ACL a week before finals is Crichton stepping into FB? Would anyone here want Crichton stepping into FB? It should be a resounding no from everyone and as such we should be working on who is the yes.
I’ve caught a fair bit of the Broncs this year and they can go with sides for 20 min periods here and there but simply don’t have 80 minutes in them. It very well could be a tight first 20 so we need to stay patient and know that our bench will almost certainly be able to blow the game apart.
Yeah you're right, as much as I wish it was the case they aren't a total hopeless rabble, they're an ordinary patchy side.

Jane didn’t say anywhere that it was the wrong thing to do, or it’s admitting defeat.

She is correct, this change won’t help this week, it may as time goes by, but this week, C&L will run rings around them.

Yep if we aren’t switched on they can score points in patches, Coates is always a threat to catch a bomb if they can get to a kick.

She initially said that "Walters was desperate", and then that it "won't matter" - came across as very dismissive and elitist to me. Probably an over reaction on my part, but it's a culmination of the stuff she says about other teams and coaches that rubs me the wrong way.

All it takes is a single missed tackle. Look at Canberra's second try last week - you could have thrown a blanket over the whole team - yet someone misses a simple tackle, Canberra make a break, and score in the corner a few plays later.

Thanks. To be honest, I am in shock about the down fall of the Broncos? I do not know what went wrong.

I am far from an elitist, and I was not being dismissive. What I have said about other teams, and coaches, others have said things similar. So why has my comments rubbed you the wrong way, and others have not? Yes you have overreacted, and you have added words in which I did not say.

People misunsderstand me a bit too. Best thing to do is not worry about it. What you say is the sort of stuff horse fans would have said about us for decades.

Critta will be fine at fullback. "Keep sending him up".

Not really related to broncs game I guess, but nsw cup highlights were good. I love the way naden runs the footy. Reminds me so much of GI. He doesn't step or weave just runs good lines, can hit a hole and is great at setting up his outside man.

That try he set up was magical and reminded me of Michael Morgan cowboys gf flick pass. He drew in a few blokes and flicked it out the back, no look pass, in between 2 blokes at speed. I reckon Staines would be seeing more ball with him at centre.

Anyway, hope we whack the ponnies this week. Hopefully moses is ok. Also hopefully the boys aren't complacent, come out firing and I'd we are up by plenty with 20 to go move Charlie to fb.

I mention in the main game thread that Matthew Lodge declared that "the Broncos team have just as good, if not better players than the Panthers team".

This was quoted less than a week after a Canberra player talked up his forward pack.

The 'cuddle' that Crichton was sighted for. Moses has the interchange card in that. Was never used but must be good

As for NSW Cup. That was a likely GF preview and they were stacked and just got broken down as the game went on

What he said was that their players had just as much talent as ours. The suggestion being that they aren't performing accordingly. I don't think he meant a slight on the Panthers by it but he could have expressed himself better.

The best fullback in the 17 is Charles Staines.

But we haven't seen Crichton's best running game yet. He will get plenty of opportunities against the Broncos who are a total rabble. He should watch how Latrell is running into the line at the moment and just bulldoze them.

If Charlie gets a run back there and makes a couple mistakes are people going to write him off as a fullback? Because he will 100 percent make mistakes, he has dropped a couple bombs this year how many chances does he get before the "he isnt a fullback" gets declared around here?
