Last time I witnessed a first round clash with the Bullfrogs we were down 20-0 at half time. Came out blazing in the second dig and blew them away 28-20. Love to see it again.

The difference between the two teams last night were the errors. We are good enough to be a top 4 side if we learn how to not only be relentless in D for 80mins, but cut out the turnovers.

The Dogs will have more errors in them, less oomph up the middle and that's why we will win this one.

Don't worry about points, they come organically as a product of hard work and low errors.

Whilst I agree, I can never see our team defending like the Panthers and Storm last night. Meaney has been a centre for 10 minutes yet his defence and his partners were amazing last night. Weve been told its not the coaching so maybe its something they read in the off season?

Same coach for 11 years. Same weak defence. I’m sure there’s a pattern there. For once under this coach I’d like to get the feeling that the opposition team can’t just score at will anytime. Unfortunately every time the opposition come into our 20m zone, we don’t have the confidence that we can hold them out.

Ive become a serious fan of Russell. I reckon he will become our best Rhino.

Who has told us it isn't the coaching?

I can't think of anyone who seriously suggests the coach isn't responsible for defensive structures and strategies....

Remis Smith is also just an average centre. STORMS defense and effort is amazing. There is never a lazy moment. They are always switched on just about every week.
I don't remember to many games where we don't doze off for 20mins atleast. Same can be said for the Panthers. They only conceded one try off a bomb. Both sides are well coached and play with heart.
I think a lot of this comes down to the recruiting. Some players just have that killer attitude where they'll do anything to win amd never give up. You can't coach that but you can recruit it in your squad.

We have to many players who lack that desire. Gutherson stands out from the rest.Not saying there aren't more who have it in our squad.

But he tends to drift in and out of games and doesnt seem tonhave thst killer mudt win attitude. I'd put Hopgood up there with Gutherson then Russel and Penisni. I also find Simmonsons effort always top shelf amd Cartwright of late.
